Good idea Bigpaws with the yoghurt - No you're not sad, just inventive!!:D
Glad your hair's lookin good Nicola, glad my mom's a hairdresser and get mine done for free though!! If I had to pay I'd look likee a wild woman:rotfl:
It's been another NSD for me, even though my colleague dragged me around the shops and into New Look at lunch time!! I even resisted a cute black skirt that was in the sale!! How good am I??!:A :rotfl:
My OH is dragging me out in a minute so got to go. Will be back later to see if any more updates.:D

Evenin' all
It sounds like you've all had a great day. Glad your hair was worth every penny, Nicola; you've been saving for a long time, so it's great that you are so delighted. I have a friend that comes to the house to cut our hair for £6 LOL! I have just been experimenting with dyeing easter eggs and dh just suggested I pour the red cabbage juice over my head. I think I might end up with blue skin rather than blue hair though..............
It sounds like you have had a productive Day, Woodyrocks - making money and resisting eBay - I am *very* impressed - go you!
Tigzem, you might be able to do the downstairs windows, but not upstairs if you have them - way too scary. Plus, if you washed them yourself you'd have to buy cleaning products, so I guess it's £10 well spent and in my eyes it comes under the category of 'bills'.
Chele, have a lovely evening with your OH and what a great temptation you resisted in the sale! well done!
I was a bit rubbish at shopping this morning as we ended up going somewhere different which really threw me. I bought bread instead of making my own, bought a cooked chicken (which was reduced to £1.94, so I figured I couldn't have bought and cooked it for that price, so perhaps it wasn't too bad after all. And I put it ontop of the woodburner, so it stayed warm until we were ready to eat it!). My thing is that I look at things for dd - with the holidays coming up I ended up buying some cheese biscuits and things I wouldn't normally get (ryvitas are cheaper and she likes them, but somehow I felt like 'treating' her? <sigh>
Still, it came in at less than £20, so that's not too bad, but I still need to top up in Lidls.
I think I'd be well off if we didn't eat
Enjoy your evening and I hope you get some bids, Nicola.

Well, didn't fill the car - got a lift with a colleague instead, so, still a no spender. However, I'm not being good not resisting - just avoiding all temptation. Just wait until the weekend when I have to do the weekly shop. I can already hear that chocolate bar shouting to me! I have no willpower at all I'm afraid!
Supposed to be trying to lose weight as well. Did I resist the biscuit tin in the staffroom? Well no, not at all!Resolution:

Well done Mappy Girl, vary impressed that you've managed to do all your own meals this week, I know it's hard to find the motivation!! Just done mine ready for tomorrow
Bigpaws, I think the chicken sounds like a bargain and doesn't look like you've spent much on groceries. I know what you mean though, life would be sooooooooo much cheaper if we didn't have to eat!!:D
Beemuzed, you'll be fine when you do your shop!! I'm sure you'll resist the chocolate, just don't go near the aisle and keep your eyes closed at the till while loading up the conveyor belt!!:rotfl: Anyway, the calories in the biscuits at work don't count cos they're free! That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!!
Keep up the good work everyone and will speak tomorrow after work and after my interview for a new job!! :eek:Official DFW Nerd - Member 408 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!0 -

WooHoo - way to go, Nicola; I'm so pleased for you.
Good luck wiht your interview, CHele; I hope it goes well for you.
Beemuzed, maybe you could imagine we are all there in the supermarket with you, cheering you on (or slapping your wrists as you reach for the chocolate aisle)
and you're having a great week, Mappygirl with all your own meals. That's very cool!
I need to top up at Lidls today, but I feel I am doing well - I've even been combining erands more to cut down on car running costs. I found some old bits and pieces for dd to take to school for easter egg decorating, so didn't go out and buy new.
So far, so good
Have a great day everyone

Well done everyone :T
Glad to hear your items sold Nicola, thats fab news
Good for you Bigpaws, using what you already had for your DD's easter egg decorating - it would have been o easy to go out and buy new :T
Well, Ive just made my eighth day of no un-necessary spending and it's been another No Spend Day!!:A Took my lunch to work again and resisted the clothes shops once more!! (My colleague likes to make me suffer, I'm sure!!):rotfl:
No luck with the job unfortunately.:( He wanted to employ me but can't afford me - wouldn't mind but wasn't askin for much at all!! Most of my friends and family earn double what I earn!! So back to the drawing board - just desperately need to get out of the job I'm in at the moment.
Hey ho, tomorrow's another day and all that!
Keep up the good work everyone, let me know how it's goin!!Official DFW Nerd - Member 408 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!0
