How many credit cards do you have?

Reading through the whole of this thread it's pretty much obvious that some posts are more wishful thinking than an accurate list of credit cards. Anyone who says they have more than 3 or 4 credit cards goes onto my suspicious list.
I'm afraid that show you know very little about cards and why people have them. These boards are populated, seemingly in the majority by people who seem to struggle to get cards or good limits. You just have to look at the type of questions seen here nowadays. This is not a true reflection on society or what people outside of here have or can get. Multiple cards and I mean more than 3/4 is quite common. Like I said in my earlier post some can sustain a dozen cards with good limits, without problems and use them to their advantage in many ways.
If you've ever heard of stoozing before you'll appreciate why some people held so many cards.0 -

Anyway, back prior to 2008 I had two cards, Mastercard and VISA but after sliding down to the skids by being made redundant in 2008 I only have one with a £500 limit and I'm staying with one with a £500 limit: It's too painful when it all goes bad!
I refer you to the what's in your wallet thread on budgeting and bank accounts, photo proof that a lot of people have more than that

Well thats 7 that i can find lol
Will need to sort them out because its a bit confusing as i have some that are the exact same but different accounts. Unsure why these companys are willing to give me 2 seperate accounts with the exact same cards.(made even more complex with these companies merging)
But hay ho lol
Just applied for yet another card. Dont think i have paid any interest in the last 4 years. Mind you probably paid a bit in balance transfer fees.0 -

Well most of them will be heading down a dangerous slope...
i have aprox 6-10k debt (fluctuates)spread accros 2-3 cc's. However there are a number of emergency ways they can be paid off instantly.(well hopefully...maybe....lol)
Sometime i wonder how much credit on CC's i can get. i must have nearly 6 debit cards also lol ...prob also have about 15k credit in overdrafts lol (not used)0 -

At the end of the day, credit is a tool, whether via cards or any other way. Like all tools it can be used well, abused, or ignored in favour of doing things another way.
Someone who rides their limit is abusing the tools given them (or at least, is dangerously close to doing so). Some people see credit limits as more of a "target" than a limit :-(If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything0 -
I have 3.
Halifax Clarity - for using abroad.
Aqua - 3% cashback
Capitalone - 1% cashback
I ond't like having too many because I consider every one that has my details "out there" on a computer somewhere is a id theft/fraud risk.
I know that's covered but can still be huge amount of hassle.
3 is quite a lot for me but the Aqua deal just came up.
I tend to be fairly tarty and only keep cards whilst they offer me a good deal.0 -
I have got 2, Tesco's and M & S. I use the Tesco one to buy my food shopping each week and then pay it off every month. Just use it for the clubcard points.
Then I have got an M & S card only yesterda. Just intend to use it for any shopping in M & S and hoping to get some vouchers to make it worth while, otherwise if I don't get much from it I will not end up using it at all0
