in Credit cards
After doing my latest round of balance transfers i now have quite a few credit cards, just wondered how many other people have and the reasons for each card.
My cards now are: RBS platinum £5000/£5100 0% 22 months, Halifax £2350/£4600 0% 4 months remaining, Nationwide £2475/£3200 0% 20 months (new card only just arrived)
As well as the above i have HSBC £0/£5400 (my own bank had card 12 years, Barclaycard £0/£10,000 (have just transferred balance to RBS/Nationwide.)
On Noddle its also showing another Halifax card with a £2k limit this is a card i was sent (didn't ask for or want it) with a loan i took out with bank of Scotland 5 years ago, card is dormant never been used i don't even know the details of it, its on my to do list to close this card down.
I am also planning to close down either my Barclaycard or HSBC card but not sure which one would be best.
I really want a cash-back card for everyday spending, but was declined by AM-EX recently so am considering an AQUA card but am slightly put of by it being sub prime.
I am really just interested in other peoples credit card portfolio/armoury thoughts welcomed......

I have 2 and for pretty boring reasons. The larger RBS one has a £4k limit which i use for booking holidays and taking with me for emergencies. I like the idea of knowing my money is protected if the holiday company or airline goes bust. The second smaller one is with bos and has a £1400 limit. Its used for internet spending and any work expenses. Im toying with the idea of closing one down because i don't like having 2. But, what with the recent problems RBS have had, its probably better to have a back up. There's no balances on these cards.0

M&S Money - £3k @ 9.9% - use this for general daily spends. Pay in full at the end of the month.
HBOS Clarity Rewards MasterCard - £4k @ 12.9% no fees for anything like withdrawing cash and spending abroad. Opened this a month ago. Get £5 each month for spending £300 or more Free.
Lloyds Amex Avios - £500 @ 15.9% - it's a !!!!!! card will close it very soonnot used it since I opened it. waste of time with £500 can hardly buy anything I want to on it.

I have two, one Halifax card I took out when I was a student and wanted to be able to buy items from abroad and get payment protection and a Barclaycard which I took out to get cashback at Currys when they were Egg but stayed with them as I preferred their automated in full payment system at the time as I never carry a balance.
I have been thinking of closing down the Halifax card but after Barclays recently blocked it because I bought a PC (Egg were the same each time even though 90% of my purchases are technology of some sort) I've realised I should have a spare card. Need to see about getting it upgraded to get some benefits from it though.

M&S - Just closed because no point/rewards
AMEX - Use for cashback 1.5%
Just opened World Points or w/e it is, Natwest 20 months 0%
Amazon - Points for where the AMEX isn't accepted.0 -
Natwest YourPoints £3400 (Limit of £6500) 0% for 13 months.
Just cancelled Natwest student card so just the one.0 -
Two. One Visa, one Mastercard.
Both are cash reward cards and the combined credit limit is £20k. No idea what the interest rates are without looking at the statement, but its irrelevant as I always pay them in full by DD.
Don't see the point of getting any more.0 -
I have two.
Nationwide Select, £3,200 limit 15.9% APR. (I was a donut and opened it before the Flex account so didn't benefit from the 12.9% rate or interest free purchases)
Creation Mastercard £3,000 limit 17.9% (I think) APR.
Both have interest free balances on them at the moment but I'll be clearing them tomorrow and setting up DDs to take the full amount. Might even close the Creation.
Nationwide card is a great all rounder - cash back, and fee free overseas usage (which worked out very competitively on a trip to Denmark last month)
Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

I have none.
I think once you get one you are making a conscious decision to live in debt?
