    Hi all!
Have decided to make Monday my weigh-in morning and have lost 1lb! Well it's a start, and not quite a whole week after starting so hopefully the first of many more pounds, well 13 more anyway.

Southernman - podperson is right, there are no "good" or "naughty" foods, it's all just food. Some food you can eat plenty of and some you can eat occasionally as a treat so don't get them mixed up! I think this is the problem I have at work; "treat" foods such as cakes and biscuits are brought in almost every day whereas really they are supposed to be eaten only occasionally.
Good luck with losing the weight, try not to get obsessed about what you are eating, I've found that the more you think about food the more you want to eat it!
    Good luck all,
    Daisy

    Hi guys.

i am VERY frustrated. I havent lost a single pound :(

Just have to keep at it i guess, and hope for some movement on the scales soon!

Sorry you haven't lost weight but don't give up. You're start losing weight again.
  • Sorry you didn't lose, WTBSE :( Keep going, you will lose soon!

Went for a long walk today (blackberrying too) and can definitely feel I've been out! Legs aching like anything. It's part of our new regime to have a long walk daily now, as we're both carrying too much poundage. :o
  • I really hope to get more trim. I've registered myself for a half marathon too. I was already registered for a 10km in November but i don't find them a challenge really.

As an example, i felt extremely tired today as it's my first day back at work after two weeks on holiday abroad but i dragged myself to the gym and ran 8.5km. A half marathon is about 21km.

The one i'm doing a remember being really tough going with a few hills so i need to be on form, the motivation isn't there for 10kms as i can do them in my sleep which is the problem. I don't feel the need to go to the gym as much.

Ooooooh hello, can I join too? I need to lose just over a stone. Am trying to eat a lot more healthily, having just come back from a 3 week holiday, drinking wine and eating rubbish I really need to get back on track. I've joined the gym and intend to do atleast 30 mIns of exercise a day, to stick to my calories, up my fruit and veg and log everything on my fitness pal. Have been gOod today, and have even been on the cross trAiner :) hopefully I can keep it up!

Hi everyone, been missing in action for a while as my motivation seemed to disappear again after asking if I could join you all. However, last night my friends and I started planning a beach holiday in November and I am very much aware of how un-bikini like my body feels at the moment.

Also, went shopping yesterday and bought a lovely dress for work - before I lost my weight I was size 14 creeping up towards 16. Once I lost it, for the first time in my adult life I fitted into a size 12. Picked the size 12 up yesterday and I only just fit into it. And I mean, only just!! No way am I moving back up to size 14 again, so I bought the size 12.

So, motivation is back with a vengeance and today was the first day of the rest of my diet. My new dress and newish bikini are hung on the front of the walk in wardrobe as my daily reminders of why I'm doing this. Just need to lose half a stone and I'll be happy.

Myfitnesspal has been brought back out of my iPhone archive, and game on!!

    Hi Everyone,

Im still here, reading, lurking and doing my best to be good :D

I finished day 10 of the 30 day shred yesterday so will move onto level 2 next time I do it  (probably tomorrow due to swimming tonight)

I am doing fine in the day eating well but find I cant resist 1 biscuit with my cup of tea I have at 8:30pm :o. I always choose 1 rich tea as these are the lowest in cals but really need to try and cut it out

    Be good all :)

:grouphug: Awww WTB, have a dodgy hug.

Sorry to hear you feel dispirited but please don't be! Remember I hated myself last week and you helped put it in perspective.

It may be, as said, you have gained some muscle which accounts for STS. Or, just some water retention, general bloating, bad day etc.

You've already listed positive changes you've made, and it does take time for them to accumulate, frustrating though that is! Keep going!

I did weigh in on Fri but no one was really posting results :o However, I gained 2lbs which was to be expected and actually a bit less bad than I thought. Having a mixed week so far, but am continuing to just be more mindful and getting out when I can for a walk etc. Going to keep plugging away :)

:hello: to the newer people. Nice to the thread fill up, good luck with your journeys and look forward to reading about everyone's progress :D
Proud to be a moneysaver :)

    Hi

Well yesterday didn't go quite according to plan due to ending up in John Lewis and having a scone and a muffin!! Then eating bits and pieces for tea and a bar of chocolate!!!

But have stepped on the scales this morning anyway and have lost .2 of a kg, which obv is v probably water but I did go for a rather hilly walk around the city whilst pushing the baby, so I think that counteracted it a bit.

I've booked my MIL to babysit today so that I can go to the gym, I also bought lots of lovely veg yesterday, so I'm going to have some lovely salad for lunch and a veggie stir fry for dinner.

My incentive is a beautiful Karen Mullen dress I have been bought by my lovely OH, and it's perfect for my friends wedding on 1st sep, it's my birthday in sep too and I want to look fantastic, rather than shy away from the camera as per usual!

Hope you're all doing well. Keep posting it really helps keep me motivated to see how everyone else is doing xx
