Hi everyone!
Just taking a break from the gardening
I lost 2lbs last week :j(well 1 really as i had put on a pound the week before :rotfl:) but im glad the scales are moving down again
I wanna live for free- I think if you were happy eating like that before maybe give it another go. I think everyone is different-personally I come out in a cold sweat even thinking about missing a meal and get shakey and cranky if I go too long without food, but my OH sometimes misses breakfast AND lunch and is not bothered at all by this
Be good all- if you have a treat make it a small oneO/S weight loss 2.5 /10lbs (11st 8.0- 08.02)0 -

Hi y'all!
Have had quite a good couple of days just eating like a normal person! It's all set to slip a bit this evening as DS is away for a couple of days so Mr LD and I are off down the pub (ooh scandalous:eek:). Mind you the last time we went to a pub we were so scared by the prices we didn't stay long, we are clearly way too tight to ever become regulars. We'll probably be home before dark and in bed by 10.30 like the boring old farts we are.
Good luck with the healthy eating tomorrow, everyone.
Love,
LDXXUp Jacob's Creek without a paddle!0 -
I have to say i feel the same as WTBSE about fasting.
As someone who used to go nearly a whole day without eating; and then felt so dreadful i'd eat everything in site i know it wouldn't work for me.
Would you rather eat what/when you wanted (but healthily) or spend you whole life with Up days and Down days; and then stressing out when you eat too much of a down day or don't feel like eating on an up day??
I want to eat like a normal 'thin' person which i know sounds weird but food been such an big focus in my life and something i think about far too much. I don't want to have to think anymore.
I want to get hungry, and then when i'm hungry i want to eat. I want to be sated and feel good after a nice dinner. I want to treat myself to something naughty every so often and feel good about it without any guilt.
I want to eat less somedays because i honestly not hungry; and equally eat more on days i am. I don't want those choices to be because my routine tells me i should.
Anyways- enough opinion. The important thing. Today was week three weigh in. (Week 1 -2lb, Week 2 -3lb)
Part of me was really postive - i've eaten within my 1640 calorie allawance each day; I'd done my three 'required' 45min exercise sessions.
The other wicked evil part of me was dreading it - I'd not felt deprived at all this week, and had some bloody good dinners. In fact in the last four days i''ve had a full roast with all the trimmings; fish'n'chips, eggs, bacon and chips, and pasta and sauce with garlic bread. Quite clearly they are not diet food.
Anyways..... 5lb lost.
Chuffed muchly.
I'm so hoping i do as good next week as then i'd have lost a stone!!I'm so boring, my clothes wanna keep someone else warm, someone cooler0 -
Yay Amyb! :j:j
Well done you! Really pleased for you especially as you didn't deprive yourself any.
I'm going to go back to what I did before, it's not for everyone, I know. I just find it hard to eat before 11 and would rather 2-3 cups of tea than cereal/toast etc. Some mornings I'm almost spitting the food out than swallowing it (sorry, TMI)
I know I've a lot to lose and I know what has worked in the past *for me* no offence caused and none taken, I hope0 -

If it works for you, and enabled you to stay slim. Do it.
As i said; for me that is how i used to eat and it made me fat.
My concern is more the people who latch onto it as the newest fad diet without considering how it will effect them.I'm so boring, my clothes wanna keep someone else warm, someone cooler0 -
Totally agree!0

Well done amyb and savesummore on the weight losses :j
I wanna live for free - I'm a bit the same with eating in the morning, I really struggle doing 'proper' breakfasts. I usually end up with a cereal bar though as I find even though I don't feel hungry in the morning if I don't have anything at all then I feel hungrier at lunch! If it works better for you though then go for it - I don't think the same eating habits work for everyone so don't feel like you have to go along with something if it doesn't suit you.
I'm on with the calorie counting at the moment. Am finding it quite good as it's making me think a lot more about what I'm eating and helping me pinpoint problem areas for me - it's silly but I didn't realise how much bread and cheese I was actually eating and how many calories in them!0 -
