    Hi all,

Am feeling a bit more positive today, had a good day food-wise yesterday so braved the scales this morning and am 2lbs down this week :j am quite shocked as had a bad weekend so can only be from the last few days. I did put a pound on last week so only 1lb down altogether but is moving in the right direction at least!
WTBS - I started the C25K yesterday as well, was impressed I managed to get through it but yeah I did feel half dead at the end. Will try and stick with it this time - apparently it gets easier :o

Hey everyone, managed to fix my scales on Wednesday and I lost 4lbs yay!

Have been looking at my calendar and after this week I have 11 weeks until Mexico. I want to aim for 2lb per week which will see me at 10 stone exactly. For my height that would still be 'overweight' but if I can manage that Im going to be ecstatic!

Soooo Im out for lunch with friends on both Sat & Sun so have saved some calories (whilst eating sensibly) earlier in the week, and shall be going to the gym both mornings with the boyf to try and earn some extra cals. Im really looking forward to a guilt-free roast dinner my fridnd is cooking Sunday!

I've decided to print some pretty pics of Mexico and stick them on my work pass- for those 'I NEED a vanilla latte' moments, and also on my work laptop and station in the hope that they'll stop me partaking in the office pizzas our teams keep winning at the moment.

Does anyone else have any ideas for ways to keep motivated & on track? Im finding couch to 5k rely enjoyable altho im up to the 5 minute run intervals now :-S

Keep up the good work everyone. We can all do it xx
    First home- Oct’16 until June’21: £170.995- Overpayments made £13,784 (25% extra!).
New forever home- Sep’21 £309,449 @ 2.05%. Plan to clear it before 30 years!!!!!!

Bad bad times for Wyre..too many family birthdays *hangs head in shame* I shall desperately attempt to burn up some of the Harvester dinner and other bad things in the morning.

Has anyone attempted the intermittent fasting? Having looked at it, it would probably suit me as I don't *normally* eat the calories myfitness says I should. I shall explore further and report back and if anyone finds my motivation can they send it back please?

    Back soon!!

    Hi all,

I have changed my screensaver on my personal computers to pictures of Italy for my holiday in December and have wrote on post it notes and stuck them around with how much weight I have lost so far. This stops me from going to the vending machines at work or eating any of the cakes/sweets my colleagues bring in.

Hope everyone has a good weekend.
  • Morning :)

TOTM for me too so feel lousy, don't feel like eating much. :( Which has to be good I suppose! After my munchies the last couple of days! (and I really mean munchies, bags of mini-cheddars, twix, kitkat, dairy milk just snarfed down in milliseconds

Lovely sunny day out there :)

    Good morning all!

Well done to Kitten and Pod for your losses, thats great news!
Its my TOTM so not weighing, but hoping for a loss next Friday :)

I have been trying to keep as active as possible- took the kids swimming yesterday, as well as a walk in the woods. Today we are off out for a nice 3mile walk around the lake.

I haven't been too bad food wise recently. Could improve, so will try hard, but i honestly think that because this is a LIFESTYLE change, i have to have treats. For example, last night i had a glass of wine and 1/4 of a pizza as it was Friday evening, and i always have a treat on Fridays.
  • Hi everyone :hello: can I join you? I weighed in yesterday at 10 st 8 lb and am 5 ft 3. I am a perpetual yo-yo dieter, losing and regaining the same stone so I'd really like to lose a stone and more importantly keep it off. I have so many clothes that don't fit and the ones that do are getting tighter! As I have a small frame, a stone makes a big difference.

I've done weight watchers before but I begrudge paying money for a class so hope that joining this thread can help keep me motivated. This time I'm going to try counting calories. I've downloaded the myfitnesspal app. I find I'm most successful when I can fit in some treats and that no food is forbidden otherwise I just crave naughty foods, but I do need to eat more healthily, at the moment I'm just eating rubbish and its really showing in my skin - it looks terrible.

Like many of you, I'm also an emotional eater, whenever I'm tired or stressed I turn to food, so hopefully we can all help each other through the bad times.

  • I've just been reading the intermittent fasting thread, and it's occurred to me that I used to do something similar a few years ago. I would skip breakfast, as I just don't/can't do food much before 11... drink tea and water all day, fruit for lunch and a dinner in the evening - the pounds dropped off me and I was actually at my pre-baby weight (baby is now 16 :rotfl: )

I stopped that as everyone told me I had an eating disorder and must eat breakfast and have carbs and/or protein at lunchtime too. So I did and weight started creeping on and being in a new relationship where we ate out often, I didn't "see" the weight going on until I now have a whole lot of clothes that are far too small but I used to wear them :(

May look into that intermittent fasting again. Not sure though!

I honestly wouldnt ever fast. I dont believe that there is no long term (or short term) benefit to it, especially as i want my weight loss habits to form a HEALTHY and sustaining lifestyle change.
I would never be happy with intermittent fasting for the rest of my life, therefore i wont start it now.

This is why i am incorporating everything into my life whilst still trying to lose weight, so that i KNOW its sustainable.

Not only that, but i dont want to set a bad example to my children, and certainly dont want them equating 'fasting' with weightloss as thats where danger lies.
  • Very true and hadn't really occurred to me! I shouldn't read important stuff when I'm feeling dozy, LOL :rotfl:
