I've been Money Tipped! Debt-free and Proud!
    Thanks for the baking ideas.
Ended up going to T and getting baking stuff, and treating the youngest son to a new £5 DVD. So it came to £12.18, but i had a £2 off clubcard voucher.
So, spent £10.18, will update signature.

Didnt want to spend that much realy, but now have enough baking stuff to last the rest of the summer holidays, and am currently making:
    Orange & Choclate muffins
    Lemon and Banana drizzle cake.

Its a first time for both of them, so fingers crossed!

I know I'm a bit late for August but can I please be put down for £300 budget?

We've just got back from a holiday in Wales, where a dear friend let us stay rent free in her cottage as money is so tight right now. Hubby has started working for himself and debt is slowly building up so we have decided to take immediate action to save money.

The £300 is to cover me, my hubby and our 12 year old son who eats as much as we do. The only pet we have is a rabbit, but she doesn't eat very much and has a huge bale of hay to munch through.

Afternoon! First Big Big Big shop of a while, and am now £40.10 lighter. Shouldn't need to go to the shops for more than a couple of bits & pieces for the rest of the week though and have stocked up on other things. I've done a main meal meat shop so shouldn't need to buy any meat for a week or so too. I'll update my sig now :)

    Have a lovely evening, everyone.

    Evening,

Not quite a NSD today. £3.50 in the local corner shop on snacks for the kids while we were out, whoops, didn't take quite enough.

Dinner today was sausage and bacon casserole i made the other day for the freezer, it was yum, we had it with the 35p YS new pots from yesterday. Pudding again was fruit and ice cream.

Today i've also made some YS mince and veg, bulked out with 2 of my YS courgettes, grated, peas carrots onions etc, made 3 large portions, each of which will feed the 5 kids and me :D And i have also just used my 74p YS gormet burger to make 27 mini meatballs, they're on a tray freezing so i can bag them up to save space.

Having a good day today, being a single parent is getting easier, and have GC to concentrate on is life saving at the moment.

    Katy, X
    June £0.00 GC / £200.00

Another spend to report, £18.50 in HB! And then 1.99 on toilet rolls as we had run out and forgot about it so had to go to the corner shop, grr!

Not worrying TOO much this month as I guess it gives a bit of a pic of how I spend, it's sept where I will be reviewing it and reining things in.....off to update sig, think I've still got one I posted about earlier to update with too, not sure!

£8.20 on bread and the Pers1l on offer in Mr S. With a full laundry basket and a 2 year old I decided I couldn't wait until the weekend for the soap powder!

Also 70p on 2 cups of tea and a cheeky choclate bar at work:o

I have a small pot of single cream in the fridge that was OOD on the 27th July. It smells OK. Will it be OK to use it in some mushroom soup do you think? I have found a recipe on cheap family recipes that would also help use up some mushrooms.

If it smells and tastes fine I would certainly use it.
