  • Just made an overpayment on my credit card :)

Not as much as most months, but better than nothing and keeps me in the habit - need to be paying more off!

  • Afternoon :D

I thought I was coming round to MSE way of thinking Friday but weekend suggests otherwise. Had to go out on Sat, and OH had gone to pub so ended up going there to get keys off him - he asked if I wanted a drink and I ended up staying for several (looking lovely - in a city centre on a Sat nite wearing clothes I would rather not during the day). Wanted Chinese - but slept through them closing lol - OH woke me up to see if I wanted some food - and made some rather yummy chips, cheese and mince beef, simple but fab.

Then both ended up going pub yesterday, as OH was bored after being in house all day. We did not have many and only went to 2 pubs, and one was a cheap one. Trouble is I got 2 bottles at a time there as they were on offer but makes me drink faster! Chinese was inevitable by Sunday! But we order a much more sensible amount (for us)! We tried something new and it all got eaten (I left some veg on my plate so chucked it OH's!)

I have had a bit of a lightbulb moment - only the "wrong" one. Decided I really need to sort my body out - exercise, lose weight/stop putting it on, and stop eating quite so much and quite so badly!!!

Back on food again after that hehe OH was thinking of crisps yesterday morning and asked if there was anything a bit more suitable for brekfast! So I made him a bacon and egg cob, and me an egg sandwich as we had omelette day before and I had opened bacon for his and we only tend to use eggs for omelette and buy in 6s so would only use 4 at a time.

  • Today I have -

:) Been to the gym

:) Showered @ the gym using 2 & 1 shampoo/cond that OH's brother left here ages ago rather than carrying those and shower gel

    :) Swagbucks

    :) Onepoll

    :) Checked online banking

:) Updated sig on here - need to sort my body out! also would like to declutter everywhere. The debt free at 23 bit is a goal I would like for my "own" debt (apart from student loans). Was going to go for xmas next year but as I have a Dec bday choose that b/c it seems further away!

:) Found a stray toilet roll whilst looking for one of my trainers

:) Made soup using toms and peppers that were past their best

:) Whatever else I have forget - and still have plenty to do today!!

  • Hello again :D

    I have -

:) Had some keys cut - not cheap but very much needed and should help avoid situations like Sat!

:) Bought milk as OH has realised that bigger bottles are cheaper so bought that last time - however has tomorrows date on it, does not matter as will go through it. Been very naughty already and bought sweets (worst snacking habit)!!! Although I have had less than half rather than the full bag !!! :o Did wander round town whilst waiting for keys rather than going for a coffee or something

    :) Still swagging away

:) Come on here remembered to do charity clicks, and have now remembered to other clicks and check VO/onepoll etc.

:) Frozen soup LO from earlier (got another Chinese tub last night lol)

OH mentioned last night/this morning (can't remember - not up till that time I mean) that once the payday loans are paid off he would avoid them in future which is very good! I had mentioned to him a firm on here that were not giving mortgages out to people who have had one in last year so maybe that had something to do with it? He was also thinking about what car he should get next - whether to buy a normal one - but thats a way off yet. He also wants to get back into the gym which should save a bit of cash. Although he did start talking about fancy holidays :rotfl:. Think he is a bit like me just to a less extent - flicking from focusing on saving money to thinking its not that important ?? That's not exactly what I mean but cannot think how to phrase it. OH's biggest issue is that - he "doesn't want to be one of those people who spends their lives sitting on watching Eastenders every night" - don't blame him awful programme, but then I sort of see his point but then I very much see the point of people who feel that they have got to do that/and those who have actually got to. Excuse my ramblings!!!

  • Oh, forgot to mention my (current) plan with the prezzies is to order from Am*zon each time I have enough vouchers for the cheapest prezzie (was originally going from the most effective, however, I think this way will be better organised, more motivating and better "budgetted").

  • Morning :D

    Yesterday -

    :) Worked
:) Have been offered an interview next week
:) Took water bottle/mints & cereal bar out in case I was hungry on way home
:) Made OH bacon sarnie with leftover bacon and the few mushrooms left in the freezer
:) Had value porridge and slice of toast for brekkie
:) Shower (obv)!! - with bath cream as shower gel & body lotion as shaving cream
:) Had cheap tea - sausages from freezer that were £2 at time, plum tomatoes that I chopped as they were so much cheaper than chopped toms to buy and freezer mash
:) Also the day before we had some weird bean/sausage stew with fries and ham and cheese kievs (also cheap and from freezer) that OH had bought one sun evening ages ago whilst we were both drunk and going round a foreign shop buying cheetos and other rubbish :D did not enjoy it much am afraid!
:) Did not spend much actual cash - just train tickets - although both our phone bills came out
:) OH stayed out the pub - and did the day before despite a friend asking him if he was going out (said friend is in the pub pretty much everynight and OH is more likely to go out if there is someone he knows about)
:) Phone case arrived - includes a cover so could not have bought one to go with it :), looks like it will protect quite well
:) Cheap holiday confirmation - got our first choice, will be contacting them to say we wil take our own bedding also
:) Tiny bit of everyday Swagging - poll, NOSO, vids
:) OH started talking about chocolate - but in the end decided on a Ribena ice lolly (we had these in the house but not chocolate)
:) OH had to transfer me some money so I gave him new account no. so can try to keep new and old (with overdraft) account seperate
:) Made OH tuna cobs for work - cobs from freezer, tuna we have plenty in cupboards, and salad that has been avoided for a while

:) Still on food (one track mind :D) have got some pasta out the freezer for tonight - was going to get some out that was bought from shop but there was LO in freezer that OH had made before that was bought
:) I have had cheese on toast (nom) and OH has had a slice of toast for brekkie
:) Got OH a cob out for work - found a stray one, and when I went in to get a slice of bread for my toast found another stray
:) Entered 5 comps! Not something I have done much recently and not something I have done loads of ever
    :) Swagbucking
    :) Checked online banking

:) OH wants to go to gym tonight - says he will want something to do - so hopefully that will happen :rotfl:

Other than that - the plan - shower, hoover everywhere, try to do some decluttering (groan), see if any washing needs doing, enter some more comps, swagbucking, update £10 a day thread, do all survey/click bits and pieces, clean halogen oven/give kitchen a quick clean and as always whatever else I have missed :D

  • Ok the gym did not happen that night - we are both as bad as each other. OH's plan then was to go this afternoon but now its today we will have to see :D

Had NSD Wed. Spent nothing other than train tix to work yesterday.

Had value porridge & yoghurt for brekkie yeseterday. Teas was pizza, chips and beans (healthy diet ) with pizza from freezer that looked bit battered but was fine once cooked.

We had pasta and garlic bread as planned day before, although we had some chicken wings beforehand (BB Nov last year - from freezer)! I said I was not sure we needed that much food - OH was the one who left a bit - then chucked it "for my own good" - cheeky !!!!!! :rotfl:

I also forgot the planned pasta and made myself pasta for lunch that day - I was not bothered I could live off the stuff! I made it someone suggested somewhere on oldstyle - with "butter" and salt and pepper and also added chillis and chilli powder.

    Yesterday -

OH may have to pay even more in tax, so wages may effectively go down again so that's a bit of a worry.

    :) Meals as above

    :) Worked

:) Took water/mints/cereal bar out with me

:) OH finished cans from home & stayed out pub again

    :) Swagbucks easies

:) Listed a couple of textbooks on Amazon

:) Entered a few comps on Ipad - lazy evening

:) The best free entertainment ;) (sorry if TMI)!

Today I have - got OH to transfer me a few pence to avoid charges!! Entered 15 comps :D Becoming an addictive (free :D) hobby. Had value porridge. Swagbucks - NOSO, poll, vids and SBTV (whilst doing all other bits). Just need to actually get dressed and stuff now!!

  • I have not posted for a week  need to keep it as a habit to make sure I keep track of what I have been up to.

I have been working. I have more hours next wek :). I have had a NSD and a few days when I have only bought train tickets.

Totally addicted to comps! Been doing about 20 a day but the other day I did about 100!

Have both been staying out of the gym :rotfl:

OH has been to the pub a couple of times and I went last Friday but not since. We had a takeaway pie and chips once.

Last Sat OH decided he fancied Maccies breakfast but then went to shop and bought bacon and eggs instead :T for one of my amazing omelettes.

We both had omelette that morning and as there was lo bacon as I don't eat it I suggested that he have it for tea one night which he did. I also made sure to have beans with what I had as we have that with omelette and otherwise half the tin may not have got used.

Used free food from work for tea yesterday with wedges from freezer and beans.

OH has got some pasta out ready for today, planning on buying garlic bread to go with it but I have a VO sains voucher.

That day and Wed and the only days he has food shopped and has started buying a sensible amount of food. Though he did forget to put the item that was part of his 3 for 2 offer in!

Should be getting money paid for phone cashback soon, and have had a quidco 20 payment.

I have a product to test which is saving me money and I am getting paid for surveys on it.

OH's mum paid for lunch for us last Sun, she has also lent OH money in order to help him sort his finances so he is not in a payday loan cycle (I am not saying that I think this is a good idea personally)...

Have got Swagbucks on atm as I feel I have been neglecting it recently! Need to get back into that too.

Been taking drinks out and about with me which proved useful in the hot weather.

Bought mouthwash from bodycare on offer.

My rambling is probably a bit unstructured today sorry!

  • Well today I have -

Gone to work for an hour to learn something (meant having to pay to get there grr but is a one off and should mean I get more hours in future).

Food from home - v.healthy (my sigs not a joke honest ). Cup of tea and Rocky for breakfast and cheese sarnie for lunch.

We need milk and want garlic bread, so text OH to remind him bout Sainsburys vocucher (otherwise he might of got stuff). I have even started writing a (small) list! I think I have done that once in the whole time we have been together . We should not need much (although we have started emptying the freezer a little) although ice cream may be tempting as I have a sore throat (I may actually get some meds if decent price in there).

I have been through the hot drink stuff we had in and bought some strepsils. Also been gargling mouthwash. Even tried old tip of vinegar with a pinch of sugar (not got to the whisky or tumeric stage yet though!)

OH sounds busy, so may be on for a busy weekend on call. Not good for him but keeps him out the pub :p

I have been to the bank to pay in some money towards one of OH's old debts.

Bought own brand tampons yesterday (bizzare but was one thing I used to be brand snobby about). I tend to buy for flow above one I need/would buy branded.

    Got swagbucks TV back on!

Entered 20 comps if I do more I will need to make it 25 or 30 or so on because I am a bit special like that :rotfl:

Must update NSD and make £10 a day thread soon!!!

For now I am just going to try and get the house a bit straigher with some swagging and comps thrown in.

  • Ok, so I have tidied up a bit and also spent 10 mins or so in spare room - trying to do that daily as that's where all the junk ends up!

Thought we needed to buy some dettol but I have added water so should last at least until I get paid. Noticed potatoes are sprouting a little so need to try and used some (theres 5kg) for something other than their desitny to be freezer mash :p

OH bought savers ones - he is usually brand snobby about some things and he buys quite a lot of own brands to but very rarely smartprice. But potatoes are okay because he can see they are exactly the same product :S he also bought Mr A soap that has filled a couple of carex bottles (and when I took mick because he does not usually do that sort of thing he pointed out from the description that it was probably the same product!!! (As I am sure we all knew already ). He also bought Savers vinegar - we have a Sarsons bottle but I assume that is just because is is easier to use from. I also noticed we did not need to buy toilet paper - must have saved loads on that since I have started working and not been at home all day.

Ok my plan for now is to cuddle into sofa and watch Sheldon and wait for OH coming home, which should be soon

    :)
