I gave up eventually. Going through Quidco was showing £60 delivery charge, going through the link was free delivery so I opted for the free delivery.

I just went through the Quidco link using the code 305-N03153 and got the vista widescreen model, with free delivery, hard drive upgrade etc

Code N03153XP appears not to be working - maybe this option has been pulled? The Vista version (N03153) still works though.
Andlay - go to Quidco, click thru to Dell, select Shop by E-value Code from the left hand menu, then input the codes above and it should work fine.

Have been trying to order an XP one through Quidco for hours and its driving me mad:confused: I have entered the code 305 in the first box and N03153XP in the second box dozens of times and always get the Welcome to Premier Dell page. Is it something I am doing wrong?
Incidentally I am on nights....not usually quite this mad!

You need a space between N03153 and XP and it wont let you.

Go to the deal without quidco and copy the url, then go via quidco to the main dell home page and paste the url into the addy bar.

Just how much better is the Intel 6400 over the Turion TL50. With the same add-ons it works out at £36 more expensive, but you also get 1 year collect and return with the Intel. Is it worth it ?

Been trying to order two since yesterday. they keep saying the system is down will ring back and then they seem to lose the order.. Given up trying not impressed with the service no matter how good the price. Plus they keep trying to push the warranty If the system is going to crash on day 366 I wouldnt be buying it!

I've had exactly the same and am glad it's not just me! I've emailed them to ask why no one's called me back. I'm hoping it's not a way to get them out of offering such a good product at a great price.

The phone staff get commission, there is probably nothing in it for them at this price so its better for them to fob you off and carry on with calls that make them some cash. Buy online, I tried on the phone and got no interest, my very first post mentions this.

I'm writing this on the latest version of Ubuntu Linux 'Fiesty Fawn' Live which I mentioned in the Core Duo thread.

Works perfectly with the 1501, picks up the wireless, enabled WPA2 security, net access is faster than Vista or XP, can't get the resolution quite right yet. If you fancy it the latest release is here, download, burn as an iso to a cd, then boot from the cd drive, it even has Vista Aero like features, cubed windows and wobbly windows !

When you use such a good version of Linux like this you can't help wondering how long Microsoft has got left as the operating system king.

Good to see so many of you have got the Dell, I was fortunate to pick up one of the last 1300's Pentium 1.7 mobiles at the 299 pricing error and even with daily use its still solid as a rock.

    Happy shopping.
