Come on, give them a little time. If your order was placed monday it will almost certainley say on your confirmation that delivery will be on 3/4 April or POSSIBLY sooner.

To upgrade to premium you have to cancel the original order and place a new one. Dell Do NOT do ammendments to orders. The upgrade cost me a mere £7.68, just ask !!

Thing is, it's been on that since Monday! and it's only meant to be at that stage for a day, so I got all giddy when it went to that so quickly, and it's now Thursday and it's still there :(

WANT IT WANT IT WANT IT, actually, them, I ordered 2.. cos the Mrs will moan if I get a enw toy and she doesn't....:rotfl:

    ...............................DEAL ENDED...............................

Dell have pulled the deal, prices have risen by £60, well done to all who bought at the offer price.

Have to wait and see whats on the horizon, great deals like this are few and far between, happy surfing.

How did you manage to upgrade so cheap exel.
Do you think if I phone them now , I would have any joy.

Looks like I have tracked on quidco.

No, you can't upgrade once the order has gone through (unfortunately). Also, as the offer has now ended I doubt you'd get that price again! :(

Sorry, but that's incorrect. You can cancel your order at any time, even after delivery as it is within your statutory rights.

You are probably right about not getting the deal at the same price though due the offer ending, but if you don't ask, you dont get.

I originally ordered on Sunday, then tuesday decided i wanted the upgrade, so after speaking to 3 different Dell sales agents about the price difference between my original order and a possible new one, the best offer I got was the last one at £7.61 extra (not £7.68 as i originally said). A deal too good to be refused, so i immediately placed a new order and cancelled the original even though it was in production. I was given 3 different prices for the upgrade. £25, £17 and the £7.61.

The only snag with this is that you will probably lose your Quidco cashback so you have to take that into account. My original online order has tracked with Quidco, but when it comes to payment it may get declined. But that doesn't always happen as the system will show a sale of the laptop to me, albeit on a different order number !

I didn't say you couldn't cancel, I said you cant request a Vista premium upgrade after the order has gone through, it needs to be cancelled and done again. I tried it myself! :(

I tried to get Dell to upgrade my laptops to Vista Premium but they were no help at all. So they are coming with Vista Basic on them.

I have just sent a letter of compaint to Dell customer Services about this issue.
