Doesn't...like...bacon? I'm not quite sure I understand - bacon's wonderful! You could chop it finely and use it in a spaghetti bolognaise, but to be honest bacon's got quite a strong, distinctive flavour (especially smoked bacon) so I think it'll still be fairly obvious to your DH. You can at least freeze it (I spread it out as single rashers on a baking sheet and then bag it up when it's completely frozen) and then you're never far away from a bacon sandwich!2015 comp wins - £370.25

Thanks to everyone who posts freebies and comps! :j0 -
for me the best thing to do with bacon.. is bacon sarnies:D
you could make a chicken and red wine casserole... with bacon thats nice... but cut the bacon up small with a sissors so hubby might not notice it.....Work to live= not live to work0 -
If he doesn't like bacon then don't try to force it down him because he won't thank you.
Keep it for yourself & enjoy bacon sarnies every day for the next year!Debt 2007 £17k
Current Debt approx £7.5k
Target - to pay off all debts by 2020 :A0 -

Leek and Bacon Pie; although not very 'unbacony' ive not come accross anyone who doesnt like it. Its in the Tana Ramsay Family cookbook."On behalf of teachers, I'd like to dedicate this award to Michael Gove and I mean dedicate in the Anglo Saxon sense which means insert roughly into the anus of." As long as I don't put down a plate of bacon with mash and veg think I'll be alright:rolleyes: The pasta idea and leek and bacon pie sounds delish so I'll give those a go.

*mixed in with pizza topping
*in savoury muffins
*in quiche-someone else said
*in a frittata with plenty of broccoli
*in pasta and pasta bake-someone else said
*on top of pea soup/other soup- a la Ideal Home pg176 april issue
*cubed and boiled and mixed into creamy sauce and veg pies- or make basic white sauce and add bacon crushed into it
*mix it with sausage meat (and tsp bbq sauce) to make burgers
*apple and bacon chutney
*maybe baking it wrapped around sausage/chicken will change the flavour enough, if not try glazing it with apricot glaze/similar
*mix into your hm stuffing
*bacon welsh cakes
*not sure what it's called (terrine?) but line a tin with bacon and fill with layers of potato, onion and roasted veg. bake. remove from tray when sturdy, grill til browned and slice.
*stir some into your bread dough (with a bit of fried onion) before baking and sprinkle with chesse for a nice savoury bread
.... who loves the bacon, amy loves the bacon...0
