I just don't know what to do. I am so depressed. I need to get this out.

Hi Milly
Just checking in to see how you are today. I'm glad you had a furbaby to help you thru the night...their purring is so soothing isn't it?
I hope the Dr's goes as well as it can tomorrow...don't be up half the night worrying about it...just take a book or something to read to bed with you...even if you can't concentrate on it, trying to tires you out...then cuddle down with the furbaby.
Let us know how you are when you feel up to it.
love

I was touched that your cat comforted you last night, they are a blessing arent they?0 -
Hi Milly, I couldn't just read and run. I am thinking of you and hope you've been able to make an appointment to see your GP.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

Thank you SO MUCH to everyone that replied.
I appreciate every single reply so, so much. It amazes me that complete strangers come together and help each other. You are all really wonderful people & I thank you.
I didn't manage to call the samaritans, I wanted to but I just kept sobbing at the thought of it so I took myself to bed and just tried to sleep.
Thankfully my cat was tired too and he just cuddled up next to me with his little purr & it made me feel a little less lonely. Sometimes it really is the little things that make a difference when you're so low. It's not like a cat can talk you down or make you feel horrible like some people do.
I still feel awful today, I can feel myself constantly welling up, but I feel like there is now definitely help out there, and that I'm not really alone thanks to all of your replies.
I think I am going to brave up and go see my GP, probably tomorrow if I can get an appointment. Surely if I have hit rock bottom then there is nothing to lose by going to see them, I can only gain from doing this.
And again - THANK YOU ALL because you potentially just saved my life. I don't know what I would have done if I didn't have anyone to talk to, or just a place to let it all out for a night. xxxxxxxxxx
I'm so glad you're going to see a doctor milly. There's no need to stay feeling like rubbish, it's only a tablet or two and they make you feel able to cope with the world.
Depression is a horrible, horrible thing. I can remember feeling exactly like you, just crying all the time, just utter hopelessness.
Good luck, we're all behind you xxxx

Just to add, in case it's helpful. I know it can be the last thing you feel like doing, but some exercise every day can help. Not necessarily a boot camp
but even a fifteen minute walk. Especially if there's somewhere near you that's green or has a lake or river. My trick is to leave the house promising myself a bare minimum - eg to walk to the shop - but often once I'm out I feel like doing more. Just thought I'd mention it to you as it's something you can do to help yourself that you can do in small steps (boom boom
)
Hope you're doing ok today and good luck with the doctor. Oh and keep posting!0 -
Hope all is well with you and you managed to get to the gp. Keep posting so we can offer advice and support.

Hope you managed to see your GP today.
Well done for posting here, so many sit in silence which actually does more harm then good at times.
I`ve been in a bad dark place once before and went straight to my GP who helped me and gave me alot of support.
Is there anything in particular thats making you feel like this?DebtFree FEB 2010!Slight blip in 2013 - Debtfree Aug 2014 :j

If you did a survey of people in the street, and they told the truth, you would see depression is a lot more common than people think, so it'll be like high blood pressure to your GP, something he sees all the time and knows he can do something for. Not at all pathetic. Something that it is better for him to start treating now rather than later.
I have been to the Dr twice with depression. I feel fine at the moment. I hope that you feel fine soon.0 -
I hope ypu got to the doctor OP
