Morning all
I've just spent the last hour going through boxes of photos looking for suitable ones to start scrapbooking with....have narrowed it down to about 100 ( ) so DH will have to help me narrow it down from there! Going to start on the digital ones next and start a folder of ones I want printing off.
Just checked quidco to see if a purchase has tracked and found a bit of a problem....DH applied for a loan via quidco to replace his current one, lower rate and all that - but when the paperwork came through they'd changed the rate - we never took the loan and the payment was cancelled on quidco - the same bank have now shown up as an £80 tracked payment for last week....Not quite sure where to start with putting that right.....DH thinks we should just keep quiet and keep the £80 if it comes through.
Chicken pie, mash and veg tonight - need to make the pastry first though, will get some dough on too for rolls.
Hope you all have a great day."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -

:hello:Morning!
Very tired here as well but family have just set off back to Wales and are now feeling a wee bit calmer after the dreadful scenes at the funeral! I am still really angry for them  but at least they now need have no more to do with that side of his family. I sometimes despair of humanity but yesterday I saw the other side of it at a local MS centre where everyone was so supportive and kind to each other so it has all balanced out.
Off to change the beds and start another wash load, rest then make some soup. Big pile of ironing waiting so will get that done while Midsomer Murders is on. Dinner tonight will be the braising steak from Jimmys done in the slow cooker.
Kyle - My Mum used to tell me to rest while I could as a rested Mum was far better than a tired one. ((((Hugs)))) I spent many years when my children were small with very little sleep, it will improve I promise!
Smokey I loved your friendship prayer and would have loved to send it to bil's awful family!;)
((((Hugs)))) to all those under the weather

I think its a bit unfair to make them pick at such an early age. I was fortunate in that I knew from the first year which were my strong subjects, and being calculating, (even at that young age) picked GCSEs which played to my strengths. (lowest grade was a B in latin...)
If she picks things she's both good at and enjoys she's much more likely to stick in when the hardwork comes. From my experience (and that of lil bro) there's a mass of coursework associated with most of the subjects.
I would let her make her own choices, cos to some degree the GCSEs she takes will determine which A levels she can take, which has consequences of its own
Scary stuff for a 13 y/o, isn't it?0 -

I started sorting them into themes - one of which was going to be "Lil Mermaids" with piccies of the girls swimming and in the paddlingpool/bath....ended up with about 20 that I love!
Just ordered all my digital prints via snapfish on quidco - got £3.50 for using snapfish and 20 prints free (p&p was only 99p) :j"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Morning all (just!)!
I've not managed to be able to do much this morning as DPup is being a PITA! He is stressing me something bad today! I have lots of washing to hang on the airers, but I can't trust him to be good whilst I do it!!
Am working this afternoon, then have to sort out the bedroom as OHs DM is giving us her old bedroom furniture and so we need to make room for it... it'd being delivered tomorrow. I really hope OH gets his butt in gear and helps out, he slept right through last night so I was on my own with a bottle of wine, no dinner and YouTube! Haha.
Going to get my hair cut tomorrow, I cannot wait! Haven't had it done in ages and it is looking a right mess!! Just have to find a pic to show the hairdresser how I want it!
Right, I have 2 hours to sort things out before I leave for work, wish me luck!!

Hi everyone!
Hugs to those who need them.
Busy busy here today but have managed to hoover the house and tidy through. Having been impressed by the non supermarket thread I've been down to our local market and have checked out the veggie stall [already buy my eggs from the market] and have come back with a bulging bag of veggies [4 peppers for £1 rather than 78p each at Mr T] Also saw a white radish [mouli -sp?] he called it..was very tempted but wouldn't have known what to do with it!!
Tonight have the joys of the weekly shop at Mr T but at least have the satisfaction that about a 1/3 of it is being purchased elsewhere.
Have a groovy Thursday!
