Sorry, have been off the boil with family stuff over the last few days - nothing worth worrying about at all, but just time consuming. Work bothersome. Sorry I haven't posted. Can't do it from work.

Just tried to find today's thread to post this and just not there!

DGS1 and me off to Ireland on Friday to visit DS1 for a very special weekend!

Hope you are all OK, well and things going OK with you all.

Hi, this is the Daily Thread for Thursday 22 March. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

I hope today finds everyone well.

I fell asleep at 8 o clock last night and consequently have been up for the last half hour. The uniforms are in the dryer and I have pulled out some turkey from the freezer to throw in the SC with some veggies in a a bit.

I still fell extremely tired and I can't wait until the 8th when I have 9 whole days off and then we are going to try getting my working pattern back to normal and see if OH can manage with the kids while I loose 2 earlies and pick up two lates instead. I can not get in to starting so early for 5 mornings, as well as everything else that needs doing. I know other people cope but I am not a morning person and never will be and these last couple of months have been a struggle.

We carry bleeps in work and yesterday I had to go and explain to the home manager how mine fell out of my pocket in to the lavatory whilst I was attending to a client. It was like something out a Laurel and Hardy movie, the cry of !!!!!!, my hand plunging in after it (don't ask) and then me dancing round the room in a panic trying to shake out the 'water' - the client was finding all this extremely funny.

((((hugs )))) to all in need today and I wanted to show you all a short prayer that should help you today..........................

I hope you all have a good one,

    see you all later,

    Smoky. xxxx

    EDIT, First prize to Haribo for spotting today's deliberate mistake. :D :j :j :T :T :T :T .
Mods could you please amend for me? Thank you.

Morning smokeybabe and all who follow. wave.gif

Don't know why I'm up as i didn't go to bed until 3 but had a rotten dream and couldn't get back to sleep. Now it's 5am and I'm wide awake. starry-eyed.gif

Unfortunately my kids are light sleepers so I can't do much in the way of OS till they all get up.

Have managed to unload the Wm (quietly) shhh.gif and tidy the living room.

Didn't manage the ironing yesterday :o and spent the evening glaring at OH and muttering about why he couldn't be more like Mr Pink, much to his confusion.;) So that is carried forward to today.

Other plans are general tidy up after school run, work from 12-2, a bit of shopping and a few phonecalls then Easter Bonnet making in preparation for School's Easter Fayre on Saturday.

Then FIL is coming for tea. I've made him steak and kidney as it's his favourite but OH won't eat offal so I need to find something else for him.

Other than that it should be a quiet day and hopefully an early night.

Happy Thursday everyone. Have some good vibes from me. goodvibes.gif

    Haribo x

Edited to add; Smokey I thought there were only 31 days in March. ;):p

    Good morning Chums ,
I must be the only early bird about this morning. I would like to say it was because as yesterday was the first day of spring that I felt enthusiastic about leaping out of bed ,but no its more a case of it's so cold this morning and my legs were aching so badly I thought I would just as well get up and have a nose around the site . I spent yesterday afternoon making some birthday cards as it was too cold to go out anywhere so I am in front with my crafting. Last night my brother rang me from France to tell me my niece who lived near Cork in Ireland has just had a new baby girl .I asked him what was she called and like a man he hadn't a clue so I shall have to find that out before I send her a card .Our other little new arrival in the family Tilly Grace is bouncing along now at 7lbs 8ozs and eating her little head off .I hope everyone wraps up warm today as it's a bit on the chilly side .Take care everyone and <<<hugs>>> to those in need and a big smile to those not :D

Morning everyone...another one here who can't keep her eyelids down...

It's going to be a difficult day, had a bit of a tussle at work yesterday and feel that I was badly let down by supervisory staff in front of a customer. I'm going to try and get it sorted before I report for duty again, so please wish me luck otherwise I'll be at the end of the dole queue again. I don't actually mind leaving there, but it's the bit about not having another job to go to that worries me. This might sound really silly to some of you but I've been having so much bad luck these past three years I wonder if I have somehow been cursed?? I've actively changed things more than once to find improvement but my efforts have not had positive results, and it does wear you down after a while. The problem is probably me....but it's hard to understand why it's all clustered in these few years and it's difficult to see the way forward.

Otherwise...life is still v.v.quiet, there isn't anything else to report at all!

JW - it was fantastic to see you back yesterday, I'm delighted that you have turned a corner in so many aspects of life and it's all going so well for you.

    Big hugs to everyone else.

    Snowy

    Good morning everyone,

Not a good night for me, feel ok at the moment but im sure it will catch up with me later. Only 1 LO here again today, and she is at nursery this morning, so instead of all the jobs i was going to do, i might just veg out, i wont sleep, but might feel better for a rest!

So, that means i now have nothing planned until Lo gets back, and depending on whether she wants a sleep depends on how i will spend my afternoon! We were going to walk to school today, but its been raining all night, so thats put paid to that idea, im gutted  )

Right, going to finish my cuppa and have a browse, ((HUGS)) to all who want/need one,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
