Morning all.
hugs lambanana and snowy.
Smokybabe - my mother is forever dropping phones and cameras down toilets. I don't really know how she manages it. The "best" (IMO anyway) was when she dropped a camera down a french loo. The ones where it's just a hole in the floor you have to aim into! Just had to dig out an old mobile to replace the one she dropped last week!
I'm off work. Went to fantastic wool shop in Whitley Bay yesterday (probably should have kept away - aargh temptation) and I'm stocked up with wool. So once the ironing is done and the kitchen cleaned, I'm settling down with DVDs and some knitting, bliss. Just got to post Dad's birthday pressie then the day's all mine. Luxury.
Take care everyone"You can't get a cup of tea big enough or a book long enough to suit me." - C.S. Lewis0 -
((((hugs)))) to anyone who needs one today, I understand what you mean about wo*k lambanana and Snowy - looks like we're all in need of a holiday, and fast...
Nothing much to say today - I know I never have, my life is just soooo mundane but at least we are healthy and happy at home.
I have to get off but I hope everyone has a really good day

Morning all, haven't posted for ages but have been keeping an eye on the OS boards.
It's snowing here! and has been for the past hour or so, no sign of stopping but it's not settling on the roads, just the cars and gardens. Looks very pretty but it's chilly out (have been out to feed the wild birds who have been queueing up since about 6 am).
Have a day off today! yay! so am going to finish off a jacket I'm making for a weekend away with the choir (talk about last minute), I'm supposed to be meeting up with an old work colleague for lunch but am kinda hoping she bails because of the weather so I can stay in the warm and save money
Hope everyone is OK today, hugs to all those who need them

Morning All
Trying to get on early, but Page 2 already
DS's GF arriving for the first time today, to stay for a long weekend for his BD tomorrow:eek:  Tidy up done, DC (dearest cleaner) at my home this morning so all should the OK (excluding DS's room - take no responsibility there, but she's used to him at uni). Fridge full of various veggies, DS been given responsibility for cooking tonight - probably two seperate meals.
Just remembered still got to get him a card and wrap pressies :rotfl: :rotfl:
I always get there, but sometimes make it hard for myself.
Other than that feeling fine, and happy, (((hugs))) to anyone not up to par, and celebrations to anyone celebrating anything.
Take care

Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -
Oops. Sorry everyone. I didn't realise your post was from last night, Granny. Next time I try to merge threads I'll make sure I'm properly awake.:o
Anyway, I think I've rounded up the daily threads and I've amended the date!
So goodmorning to you all now i've managed to confuse you all.I don'at have much to report. It's almost 6 weeks since my cesarian section and I'm more or less back to normal. But I started doing the laundry a couple of days ago and my scar started to hurt so I'm laying off that for another few days. I probably won't do much else as I've got a raging sore throat and my back is playing up. (Got physio tomorrow.) I've been enjoying getting back into cooking and working out how to keep the grocery shop costs down though and there's nothing stopping me picking up a microfibre cloth and getting the dusting done!
I'm going to try the weetabix cakes today (with Morrisons 'wheat biscuits'.) I'll report back on how they turn out.
I hope you all have a good day. (((HUGS))) to all who need them.May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0 -
Morning all
Wet and foggy here this morning, and everyone seems a bit down, so here's a joke
A pregnant lady is in a car accident, and goes into a coma. While she is unconscious, she gives birth to twins, a boy and a girl. Six months later she wakes up and asks the doctor what has happened - well, he says, you had a little girl and a little boy and they were very ill, so we asked your brother to name them. Oh no, she said, he is stupid and would have no idea, tell me the bad news, what did he call them. Well said the doctor, he called the little girl Denise - oh said the woman, that is lovely, I have totally misjudged him. What did he call the little boy - Denephew said the doctor
Sorry, I can hear you all groaning.
Have a good dayYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0
