I've been to Tesco this morning and have found that they are now selling diet coke (own brand) with a twist of almond, bought a bottle and it's gorgeous! No citric acid, I've checked on the labelSometimes you have to go throughthe rain to get to therainbow0

Yes I did hear about that - will have to try some!
Saw loads of people today whom I haven't seen since I lost weight - so now my self-confidence is through the roof with all the compliments!

I didn't sleep well last night and now have a banging headache.
The headache is not due to lack of water as I am having 5L per day.
The day can only get better - I can have hopes in that direction anyway!
Hope that everyone is doing well

Well Ive got to take my hat off to your lots dedication.
My mum has lost a stone in a month on this so I tried it, I lasted a week. I nearly went mad, I just couldnt stand living on liquids, I craved solid food. Besides that, at 5'11 I was on 4 'meals' a day which was costing me £50 a week, I just cant afford that. I'm still on 500 calories a day but am eating low cal foods over 3 meals, and I feel better for it. Still on the 2ltrs of water a day tho, thats one good habit I picked up from the CD.Smile. Its the second best thing you can do with your lips....0 -
Hey everyone,
I have been reading this thread for a while - have tried to read it all the way through but I got to pg 30something yesterday and decided I really needed to do some work!
Anyway I have a friend who is restarting CD after a couple of years and me being 6/7 stone overweight (depends whether I want to be 9 or 10 st) at 21, I have decided that depending on the results that she achieves within the first week I may start doing it too ^_^
There are a few things that puzzle me though and I wondered whether any of you could perhaps put my mind at eaze?
Does the not eating and no solid food for 5 weeks at a time damage your digestive system at all?
I know that you work up your calorie intake once you have gotten to your ideal weight but how do you stop piling the weight back on after such a low calorie diet?
lol, I think thats it atm ^_^ Ugh, I have been trying to up my water intake too over the last couple of days and I find it so hard as I absolutely detest the taste of water >_<
Finally, well done those of you that have stuck at it and lost and are loosing the weight, you have done remarkably well and you really are an inspiration! ^_^
Thank you ^_^0 -
Awww CnQ, hope your feeling better now??
Vez I don't think the diet is for everyone, it's good that you tried though at least you know! And like you said at least you have picked up a good habit.Sometimes you have to go throughthe rain to get to therainbow0 -
Hi Aereya
As far as I am aware it doesnt do any damage to your digestive system at all as you start on small amount of food and gradually work up. This is also the resaon you wont pile back on the weight, I actually lose 4 stone last year and manged to maintain (Almost!) my weight for 6 months, whereas I had previously done weight watchers and lost 3 stone but then piled it on when I stopped going.
It really is a fab diet, have a go, go with your friend and do it together otherwise when she gets weighed afetr her first week think how jealous you will be!!
Go for it theres nothing to lose and everything to gain!!!Sometimes you have to go throughthe rain to get to therainbow0 -

Please be careful. You cannot get the vitamins/minerals/nutrients you need from a 500 cal per day diet - in fact it is dangerous.
You could do the 790 plan which is 3 meal replacements plus a meal per day across the board male/female regardless of height.

Aha but it isn't 'no solid food'.
On Sole Source we have chocolate bars, we can make fudge, crisps, muffins and cookies from the packs too.
Four weeks doesn't harm anyone.
In fact, LL do no food for months on end with only the addition of milk.
