I had to have my form signed because of my BMI and my medications I take for RA - all I did was make an appointment to see him, took the forms and he signed them there and then.
When you get the bit between your teeth you just want to get started and get going!
Hope you get your forms soon x

CnQ
Well done I am so pleased for you!!
Did you ever think 6 months ago that you would get to this point?
A hundred pounds, thats like another (small!) person!!!
Absolutely well done, you must be so pleased, what you've achieved is fantastic.
Do you have much more to go??
I haven't done to well again this week, I was doing fine until Sunday when I had a mini binge. My OH is no help, sits there scoffing chocolate and all manner of other lovely foods. I could do with living on my own to do well at this diet. I have told him I am chucking out all the food from Xmas that is still hanging about but he wont let me :-(
Still I am going to stick to it for the rest of the week, can't let one hiccup get me down else I'll never get anywhere!Sometimes you have to go throughthe rain to get to therainbow0 -
At the beginning it seemed like a never-ending journey to me.
When we start on CD we know how well 'other' folks do on it but we somehow can't see it working for us, if that makes sense. You have to do it for yourself in order to see the results for yourself and to prove to yourself that it works.
I have another 50lbs or so to go then will see what I look/feel like and I might lose a little bit more!
Hope you have an easier week this week Claire!0 -
I think you should have strong words with your OH Claire - what a meanie!
Well done c n Q!!0 -

Brilliant CnQ. Your really amazing! I hope you have the same rate of success with the next 50lbs as you've had with the last 100. I'm sure nothing will stop you now!!
Claire, it's a wonder you don't throw your OH out never mind the Xmas goodies.I think you're doing really well considering the temptation your faced with. I got rid of all temptation like items when I started and although my OH buys stuff for himself & the kids he's not really in my face with it. The fact that you're keeping your chin up & remaining positive is great.
You seem to find the weekends difficult & I know that that's my worst time, during the week I'm busy so I don't have time think so much about food but at the weekend my mind goes in to overdrive & particularly this last weekend all I could think about was food & this diet. So practically every conversation I had was dominated by the topic (see I'm doing it now - topic mmmmmm yummy chocolate bar- Scary!)
Just a suggestion but have you got an item of clothing that you want to fit into when you've lost the weight. How about any time you're feeling temptation to pick, you go & get that piece of clothing out of the wardrobe look at it and / or try it on. It might remind you of the reasons you're doing this. I do it and it cheers me up & I find it helps me keep my eyes on the prize!
Good luck with the rest of the week!0 -
hello fellow weight loss groupies! :j
forgive me as i haven't read the whole of this thread, can somebody point me in the direction of some evidence/success stories for long term weight loss using CD? (2-3 years of maintenance).
sorry if i sound a bit sceptical, after you've been on as many 'diets' as i have, it grabs you a bit like that unfortunately!
thanks
p.s. serious amount of :T  :T to Cute n Quirky on your achievement!0 -
LouisePP who sometimes posts here has been maintaining for well over 2 years.
In fact one of the main things that is said about Cambridge/lighterlife is how well people maintain, you dont see people in weightwatchers magazine or slimming world magazine saying they ve maintained for 2-3-4 years or more ever (well I haven't). You see that they have initially lose the weight, which is of course fab, but only half the struggle.
Thanks for the support nomealone and aellon, I think I am going to have a word with him tonight and see if he will let me throw out all the chocs in the cupboard or give them away, I can't blame him but he certainly isnt being as supportive as I would have liked. Last time I did this diet he was wonderful, he used to eat in the kitchen so I wouldnt see what he was eating even! He made me laugh the other night, he came in and patted his tummy and said god Im putting weight on - but then wont let me throw away all the chocs!!
Some men are right daft!Sometimes you have to go throughthe rain to get to therainbow0
