My favourite skirt is falling off me today. I find it a thrill to be able to take it off without undoing the zip. How sad am I!Proud Mummy to Leila aged 1 whole year:j0

I have had to give up wearing a favourite pair of pyjamas - in a set - camisole, cardigan and trousers.
Put them on yesterday and they fell off!

CnQ that must be a really great feeling. I've got about six stones to lose to be at the recommended weight for me. I'm still trying to decide whether to do CD or Weight Watchers. I don't know if I can be commited enough to do CD. I really like the idea of it, but I don't know if it is for me. If anyone has any ideas, I'd love to hear. I'm a single parent to a 2yr old little girl and I want to look good this summer!0

It took me just 5 months to lose 6 stones.
You don't have to do Sole Source - you could do 790 which I have done for 4 months of my 6 months now.
It will take you a year to lose 6 stones on WW, maybe more.
CD is a short, sharp shock to get the weight off safely and easily.

Personally Ive tried WW, SW and the rest and found the weight loss so slow it was demotivating. I agree with Cute n Quirky - you could always do the 790 which includes some food. I am going to do sole source till the end of March then go up in stages to do step 3 for a month then step 4 for a month and then step 5 for a month then maintenance. That way you know there is an end in sight and it also gradually eases you back into food so you dont go mad (like I did last time just finishing dead).
Whichever plan you do minimoneysaver, good luck to you - losing weight is never easy but we all know its a breeze putting it on! Aaargh I wish someone would just invent calorie free donuts!0 -
nomealone, thanks for your kind words. This is one of the friendliest boards i've found on mse. I'd love to stick around. x0

I lost 17lbs in my first week on CD SS, then 4lbs per week for weeks afterwards.
The current WW ad says 'lose up to 5lbs in two weeks''!!! Blow that when I lost 21lbs in 2 weeks!
I went onto 790 because I had a couple of birthdays, a couple of social events and then a Wedding on 3rd November.
I had planned on going back onto Sole Source on 5th November but because the weight losses for me were more consistent on 790 than on SS I decided to stick with it!
I enjoy 790 I must admit. When I go to Malta in April am going to do the 1000 plan as we are on all-inclusive. Will take tetras and bars with me for my two meals per day, then will have the hotel food when I am there.
I can't have the bread or pasta anyway since I am wheat-intolerant, so it might be a case of having no potatoes either!

The CD diet has become a way of life to me now - after all it has been half of a year!
I am just used to it - I am never hungry - yes I sometimes get cravings but not as much now. Certainly not for sweet things. Had a craving for chocolate yesterday but that was caused by hormones!
Once the first couple of weeks are over it is not too bad at all!

Oh my gosh CD'ers. I am really itching to get started, but my doctor is taking AGES to sign my form. I keep reading about your weight losses, and it's just making me want to start right now, but until the doctor signs the form, I'm in limbo.
Well no. I'm in the fridge door stuffing my face knowing it will be a while before conventional food passes my lips. The waiting has got so bad, I've had to get some bigger jeans and stretchy tops as I'm now fitting in nothing I own. I made sure I got a few cheap items in tesco's sale, so I know I won't miss them when I get to goal, and I don't feel I've spent money on clothes that won't get use out of. So I'll be happy to pass them to friends afterwards (well, I won't tell them my secret when things go well. I want to keep people guessing first!)
I don't think I've been this inspired or motivated before in my life! Oh, and someone (sorry, I've forgotten who! Silly me...) sent me a personal recommendation of a CDC in S.Ruislip the other day, and she sounds fantastic! So thanks for that! She sounds so inspirational and supportive. Like she is a CDC for the right reasons. I just want to get to that first weigh day and inch check, get my first packs and get going.
I keep having visions of me in a fab ensemble I had on a year back, I was turning heads and felt gorgeous. I want to look THAT good again. If I had a pic of me that day, I would look at it everyday for inspiration. I need to keep that pic in my head and hope it pops up everytime I see something I want to eat.
Please please please hurry up and sign my form doc!!!
