I had the same situation as you. My BMI was 25. I explained that I had maintained weight a good stone lower and I was happy with that weight. (Still within the BMI Average) My CDC agreed for me to go on SS to shed the stone on a 2 weekly reviewably basis.

    Ive been :)

and I dont know whether to be happy or not.

CDC said she couldnt allow me to go on anything less than 1000 as I dont have enough weight to lose.

 I dont know- I really wanted to feel better and not knackered all the time :(

You will still lose weight on 1000 though, so all is not lost.

At your BMI you need the extra calories from the 1000 Plan anyway.

Give it a try and see what happens

You were jolly lucky that she agreed!

The CDC's Code of Conduct doesn't allow them to let you do this

Really you don't have the extra fat stores to do SS.

Technically you should be on 1000 the same as LP

I dont think its a case of luck, pretty sure it was more of a case of wanting my business to be honest. (No offence meant)

BMI is not the greatest indicator either, my body composition test helped in the discision. My percentage of body fat was high enough so I know I had the reserves.

hi all, new to this thread so please be gentle lol.
there is no cdc in my area, i checked on the site, so i bought some off ebay, but there no instructions I'm 6 1" tall female, and like my food lol. so far i have been having a shake for breakfast, lunch and supper, and a healthy tea , plus plenty of water, is this the right way to go. i've read on the site about sole source but this just would not suit me.
enjoy life, we only get one chance at it:)

On Sole Source you would be required to have 4 shakes per day so you are best on 790.

Have you looked at the foods allowed on 790?

Do go to www.cambridgedieters.com and to the Forum - you will find a lot of help there.

How long have you been doing CD then?

The point is that the one 'healthy' meal per day can only be from certain options !

Absolutely! and if it contains any carbohydrate, CD just wont work and you wont head into ketosis and you wont lose the weight.

I would recommend that you call a CDC in a different area and ask advice. It might be possible that you could travel to somewhere to see them.

the thing is that for health, you should be monitored by the CDC. have you been health screened for this?

What CD wont want is people getting ill off the CD as they are not a) monitored and b) losing too much weight or what have you.

my cdc is a little bit far away ( not overly tho, its a train ride) and I do kinda struggle to see her weekly i just dont have the time. Weve now agreed I can see her every 2 weeks, with a phone call midway through. Could you travel? Could you call CD to double checkthere is no one in your area? Lighterlife may have counsellors in your area- maybe this is an option- there are many people on minimins thathave changed from LL to CD and from CD to LL - they are similar in lots of respects.

Well yesterday was much more 790 than 1000- but im going to go for some museli in a bit then see how i go on. Im not hungry, and it seems very odd to eat when im not hungry....
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast
  • Most CDC's will allow you to see them every week, every fortnight, every three weeks, or every four, whichever is most suitable for you. Of course you would have to pay for the four weeks of product in advance too!
