It is hard work sticking to a diet when it is so darned cold outside!
I have a fancy for going back to SSing but I couldn't do the 3-a-day, might try the 4-a-day, though, maybe for two weeks, to see what happens.
Do you know what, I feel like that as well.
This 1000 plan isnt sitting well with me one bit.
So far today, Ive had the museli. And water. And tea. And thats it.
Im not hungry at all.
I had my totm start yesterday and I just needed carbs so I had a slice of pie of all things. then promptly fell asleep! I said just as I nodded off on the sofa "carbs are like a realy heavy blanket....zzzzz"
I need to eat tomorrow as im off out for a drink. Its not that I have the weight to lose really now ( well those few lbs on my hip bone are till there, but other than that im a size 8-10) so I dont really feel the need to be super strict with myself.
I feel myself just craving ketosis more than anything now, and I have certainly considered doing a SS on Sunday....whether I will or not I dont know, but we shall see! Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
Am now cheesed-off.
Someone on minimins just posted that she has lost 8 stones in 20 weeks.
I know I shouldn't be cheesed-off because I have done really astonishingly well but I feel deflated and envious.0 -
C&Q.
Dont you DARE undermine what you have achieved by looking towards others instead of yourself.
Youve done astonishingly well, with resolve and determination that staggers and inspires me!Why do you give a damn about some stranger on minimins! look at what youve achieved!
As an aside, i think I can identify a bit, theres something about ketosis that made me feel really fantastic, I felt blooming. Now its colder and rubbish weather the baggy jumpers are out and im in my slipper socks, wheras only a few weeks ago I was parading about in a bikini. In short, I feel frumpy. i think the lack of ketosis, the temperature & weather and a dose of PMT is making me feel like this- and the pie yesterday didnt help either!!

Thanks!
I feel better this morning!
Have dropped another 1lb since yesterday morning, which is great!
I have been swimming three times this week and have really enjoyed myself - although not with pies !!
Have a great CD Day!

Someone posted this on the Cambridge site and I thought it was good for everyone to read -
"You have to have your head in the right place to do this diet and stick to it.
It's not a case of falling off the wagon, or cheating, or good luck, or bad luck or anything else. You either want to loose the weight enough to take drastic action (and yes I do think CD is drastic) or you don't. Its actually that simple.
If you really want to loose the weight, then you need to make the choice to stick to CD. If you need to get rid of temptation, do so, but really it's all in your head. You are not being forced to do this, lets face it if you don't want to do it, you don't have to...
However IF you REALLY want to loose the weight once and for all, IF you REALLY want to get your confidence back and start being you, rather than a hiding behind a load of fat and frumpy "fat person" clothes, then YOU have to decide to commit 100% to the diet. I do mean 100%, not 80%, not 90% not 95% - but 100%. You do not eat ANYTHING other than what you get out of your CD packs or are allowed on your current CD diet plan. If you do CD and REALLY want it to work, if you want to see the lbs come falling off and the gorgeous healthy slim real you, emerging from the blubber, then quit messing about and choose yourself and your future, over whatever it is your putting in your mouth.
You are worth it..... "

thats excellent isnt it.
Well Im committed to CD about erm 10% today. Ive had egg and mushrooms for brek with a spoonful of spag hoops. Im about to have a shake and then IM off to the pub to drink spirits with diet mixer.
Maybe Ill be more like 100% tomorrow:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

Booze has been on my mind for some time. I'm a natural beer drinker, but not necessarilly lager. Prefer dark beers or ale.
However, what is a good drink to have, keeping carbs to a low? G+T? I'm a bloke, and can't order G+Ts at my Xmas parties.
Is JD+diet coke ok?
In the Cambridge book my CDC gave me, it says there's only about 200 cals in a can of Bitter. Is bitter better than lager?
However, saying all of this, one pint, and i'll probably be out...having not drunk for 3 months!0 -
The beer/lager is really out of the question since they are both loaded with carbs.
Any spirit will be fine - vodka/gin/whisky/brandy/JD since they are very low in carbs. The mixers should be Coke Zero or Diet Tonic Water, though, to keep the calories down. Diet Pepsi contains citric acid.
Also, do remember that you will get drunk a lot faster when you have been following a low-carb diet like CD - the alcohol goes straight into your blood-stream. Alcohol also lowers your resistance to want to eat after drinking alcohol.
How are you doing on CD anyway? How much weight have you lost so far? How much further do you want to go?0 -

5 stone in 10 weeks. Will be coming off SS at beginnning of December, and will be going onto 1000, or as close as. Need to be realistic, cause it's party season, and going on holiday, so I will be coming out of ketosis.
No pub has Coke Zero, but I could probably cope with JD+diet coke.0 -
Wow that is so well done!
The benefits of being a man too!! The weight comes off faster!
On 1000 you could allow yourself a drink or two, shouldn't be a problem!
I am not bothered about 'the party season' - I find that all that alcohol and food is not my cup of tea any more, so I won't be doing it.0
