See my CDC the other day, have lost 12lbs in 11 days. We agreed it would be best for me to go onto the 1000 plan now. For the few days I've been on it I'm finding it so much harder than SS.

It's all mental because even putting a morsel of food into my mouth is making me feel naughty and like I'll put weight on.

Well done to everyones dedication and effort.
  • The 1000 Plan takes more thought! Whereas on SSing you have that choice taken away from you!

Stick to the rules and you should be just fine!

Im finding it *really* hard on the 1000 plan too. Very odd.

Phil, are you going "by the book" ie the meals that they are suggeting? Im not, as I dont like some of the stuff ie salmon or orange sauce, cant tolerate pasta, etc etc.

So Ive been having just grilled meat/fish as per the 790 with some veg ( greens, mushrooms, sometimes a few carrot batons as these allowed with the fish meal) and maybe one tablespoon carbs if I can handle it ( cant usually force it down)

the steak casserole sounds nice, but theres no recipe for it in my book and I darent make my usual one as that includes flour, and I dont think we can have that!

    Any ideas?
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

I've been going pretty much by the book the few days I've been on it. My CDC has said on the 1000 plan small adjustments are'nt a major thing depending what they are. How I'm feeling at the minute though is that I could do better with my own plan (I probably couldn't though)! I'm out of ketosis aswell which I'm sure doesn't help. All will tell when I go to weigh myself on Tuesday.

I'm afraid at the minute I cant be a great help. My negative attitude wont do anyone any good lol.
  • On the 1000 Plan you shouldn't be in ketosis anyway!

    So no problem there!

Having been on ketosis a few days ago and now not on it does make a difference. I knew I wouldn't be in ketosis, its nice to see you're in ketosis as you know somethings happening. Hopefully the scales will spur me on. Thanks.
  • You will still continue to lose weight - don't worry about that!

You will even lose on 1200 and 1500 albeit more slowly.

Go to the search engine and input 'BMR calculator' and work out your Basal Metabolic Rate for your age/weight/height and see what it comes up with. This is the amount of calories your body needs simply to tick over. Exercise calories goes on top of this. Gives a good idea of how much leeway you have got.

    Have a 'be good' day!
  • Hi CnQ,

I am doing ok today, how about you? It is my third WI today, very much looking forward to it; I am predicting 3lbs this week, which I'll be pleased to add to the 14 already lost.

Feel really happy today as we had some snow in Sheffield last night, it has made me feel really excited for Christmas.
