  • Everyone have a great CD Day!

  • Everyone has gone again !
  • Two new flavours -

Orange Winter Spice Shake - mmmmm like an orangey Christmas pudding - gorgeous hot!

    and

Leek & Potato Soup - mmmmmm one of the best of the soups!
  • i did this diet last summer and i loved it. the first three days was really hard, but my councillor did warnme. this is just until you go into ketosis, something which will make you feel less hungry (im not a scientist so im sorry if this info is not 100% accurate) the weight dropped off me losing 10lbs in the first 4 days.
one way of doing this diet is to get a partner to do it with you, i.e a friend or relative. my sister was doing this diet at the same time as me and it really gave me inspiration to carry on and support!
the only down side to it was, once i finished this diet i was slightly obsessed with what i ate, and had to introduce food very slowly into my diet.

all i need now is some money to buy more sachets seen as though im a poor stuent now :o

hope ive been some help, i would definatly recommend this diet for the short term, not a diet to follow all your life!!
  • You are correct in what you posted!

I lost 17lbs in my first week on CD!
  • With Cambridge they lead you up through the plans onto maintenance so that you gradually certain foods and vegetables along the way.

Basically to a low GI diet plan for life so that you don't regain any of the weight you have lost.

Went to my Doctor's surgery yesterday for a blood test and the nurses were all wanting to know how I had lost weight and how they could do the same!
  • Just had the leek and potato soup with the addition of some small pieces of cooked chicken - yummy!

  • I started the Cambridge diet on 1st November 2007 and have so far lost 2 stone 8 pounds. I would really recommend it. I don't feel at all hungry on it and so far haven't got bored with the shakes, soups and bars. I'm hoping that I will only be on it until around March/April time. The first three days are definitely the hardest but after that I've had no problems with it except for the mushroom soup which made me feel awful  Don't know why as I love mushrooms!
  • I love mushrooms but am not struck on the mushroom soup either!

Well done on your losses so far.

What are you planning on doing over Christmas?

I am sticking to 790 for Christmas and New Year. Am going on holiday in April and want to be somewhere very near goal by then!
