i think i have to get a medical form signed ,
she said she would give it to me when i go up there for the first time, she said the first time can take an hour to an hour and half,
does this mean that i go there, listen to her ,get form ,go home to doctors ,,get appointment and not be able to start till its signed,or will i be allowed to have the first weeks amount and take the form the following week,
hope that makes sense, never thought to ask cd when i was on the phone,
fiona
You should have to wait until its signed by the doctors Im afraid..0 -
I tried this diet in July, I only lasted a few days, The drinks are disgusting!
I needed to lose 3 stones. I managed to lose 2 of them (about 6lbs each week) By eating 2 meals a day of eiether fish and vegetables or chicken and rice. I allso walked/jogged on the treadmill about 5 miles a days, I have maintained the weight loss and I dont binge that much anymore, im all so more energetic etc
Cambridge works well but so do lots of other diets that dont cost so much! In my opinion cambridge should only be used by people that need to lose loads of weight.
Good Luck to everyone & Happy New Year0 -

Get your CDC to either email the form to you - which mine did - and print 3 copies all of which need to be signed and stamped with the surgery stamp.
Or get your CDC to post them to you.
There is controversy as to whether it is BMI of 35 or 40. Mine insisted on it over 35
If you don't have your form signed prior to seeing your CDC then you can only do one of the higher plans, 1200 I think.

That is simply not true!
Am into my 6th month of CD. The shakes and the soups are lovely. We all find our own favourites amongst them, though.
Also there are a lot of people whom have lost 2 stones on CD - they don't have vast amounts of weight to lose and manage it just as well.
Cambridge can only be used as Sole Source or 790 by people whom are heavier than BMI of 25 plus 1 stone. For others the higher plans can be used.
You wouldn't lose 6lbs each week anyway. I lost 17lbs the first week then an average of 3.6lbs per week after that.

I'm still waiting for the counsellor to ring me, I did only ring her yesterday morning and to be fair it was New Years Eve, I'm just desperate to start. Can I ask one more question. My BMI is 28.82 and I've got 2stone, 13lbs to lose. Which would I be able to do sole source or 790?
love the idea of the challenge by the way, just hope I can start soon as I don't want to lose my motivation.
thanks all0 -
You can do Sole Source, no problem at all!
To do Sole Source you have to be a minimum of BMI 25 + 1 stone.
You would do SS down to BMI of 25 + 1 stone then go to 790 for two weeks or until a BMI of 25, then to 1000 to goal up to 1200 and 1500 etc.
If you haven't heard from the CDC by tomorrow is there not another one you could ring? It might be an idea to phone CD Head Office as they have CDC's on their list which don't go onto the public website.

Had 1 chipolata sausage and some stuffing with xmas dinner.
One tablespoon of Christmas pudding. Oh and one chocolate!
Did not gain any weight at all. Have continued to lose, so am pleased about that!
You have amazing willpower :T, could you bottle some and send it to me please!
I am going shopping tomorrow to stock up on water for work (the water out of the taps there is foul), and also a new stick blender, I have one but I need a second for work.
I almost wish I was starting tomorrow now! Can't wait for a week on Thursday to see how much I have lost :jSometimes you have to go throughthe rain to get to therainbow0 -
He he he!!
I would be rich, wouldn't I?
Tesco sells stick blenders for £3 something - would be fine for work!
I am going on holiday on 8th April - I want as much weight off as possible by then!! I am sticking with CD to the bitter end!
