  • Thanks.

I will be having christmas and boxing day off but won't be drinking alcohol. I will still have the 3 shakes but just have a dinner instead of the fourth shake (I'm 5ft11 so on 4 a day). I know people say you shouldn't have days off but I am certain I will have no trouble getting back into it as I'm totally impressed with Cambridge so far especially now as people are starting to notice a difference in me.

I will have a christmas dinner but I don't eat turkey, christmas pudding or mince pies so I'm not quite sure what my boyfriend's mum is cooking me although I'm really looking forward to whatever it is!
  • Well you have a head start with no temptation on the Christmas pudding front!

I am not having alcohol either - it is not to be recommended anyway for folks whom have been SSing.
  • Has everyone abandoned the Cambridge Diet except me?

    Anyone restarting in January?

    No I haven't abandonded it!!

My target for Christmas was to lose 2stone in total but I'm going to miss that by 6lbs but I'm more than happy atm :j . I'm having 2/3 shakes a day and a meal and with all the "outings" I've had in the run up to Christmas I'm pretty happy with the way things have gone.

I shall have Christmas dinner but not the Christmas pudding - we always leave that until later but then I will probably not eat any.

Losing just the weight I have I am now into trousers I haven't been able to wear because I thought they looked too tight and now one pair I can't wear because they are too big!! I gave lots of my clothes away - together with original tags on - as I didn't think I would ever get to wear them. How wrong was I:rolleyes: . Still I am not bothered as they went to a good cause. I would like to lose about 3 stone more and am targetting that as my 2008 resolution.

    Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and Happy 2008! :T :T :j :j

I've been reading quite a lot of the posts on here. Congratulations to you all, I love the way you all motivate each other.

I met someone who'd lost a lot of weight with lighter life and was interested other than it was quite expensive and the cambridge diet appears the same but cheaper. I've left a message with a local CD counsellor to ring me as I really want to do this diet. I've got 3stone 4llbs to lose. What I was wondering is do I need to get a form completed by my doctor before I start? I'm fit and healthy, no medical conditions nor have I ever had any and am not on any medication. Also how long does it take for you to be able to start the diet after you have seen a counsellor?

many thanks in advance for any advice.

Hope you all had a good Christmas.

Hi, I am starting on the 7th!

As long as you arent on any medication etc then you can start straight away, once you see your C she will give you all the shakes, soups etc. So you can start as soon as you see her/him!

    Best of luck :D

I'm going back to Cambridge diet on Thursday, my appointment is at 6pm

I started the diet in Jan this year and lost a total of 4 stone but had a bad week one week then couldnt seem to get back on track, in the end I gave up because I was losing 6 pound one week and then putting it back on the following week and I was worried about that

Hopefully this time I'll manage to lose another 4 stone which will take me to my target weight. I go on holiday 16 Feb so I'm hoping to lose 2 stone by then (is that a bit ambitious??), I just hope when I come back from hols that I'll be able to get back on the diet

I've weighed myself this morning and think I've put on about a stone  so better make that 5 stone to lose!

I'll update my signature on weigh day, can't wait to get started now I feel so sluggish, I cant wait until I get into ketosis and feel full of energy!
