Cambridge Diet

Considering that I went a very long time, years and years, without getting weighed, the scales have now become my friend!
Very strange but oh so very true and all thanks to Cambridge!
I go to my CDC then to Boots, which weighs the same, get a print out and paste it into a diary kept specially for the purpose. So I have written proof that this weight loss isn't just in my head.
I ordered an outfit from QVC which arrived yesterday. I took one look at it and thought that it was far too small and wouldn't fit - well it does fit, quite nicely!! Amazing!0 -
The mind must catch up at some point!
Well we hope so in case not!

I met my new CDC today. Everything explained far better than before. I've got two weeks of packets and start tomorrow.
Mind over matter......................yes I can nail it this time especially as I have found this thread. Thanks to peeps telling me to get a new CC

Some CDC's are just useless it is one of those things.
Glad you got it sorted!

Thanks! I'm just a little nervous that I may fail......................but as you say mind over matter. First target I made myself: Lose 1.5 stone by Christmas. Shouldn't be too hard that one

By Christmas, which is 9 weeks, Cambridge say 1 stone per month, so you could lose more than 2 stones!!
Take each stone at a time and you'll be just fine!
Make sure that you set up rewards for yourself too, every stone and make it something you wouldn't normally pay for, so that it is a 'treat'.
I have had fancy body lotion, a pair of earrings, some perfume and an amber necklace for my losses so far. Still trying to decide what I should have for my next one!!

Hi all
Just wondering if someone can tell me how long you sole source for I can't see any info relating to length of time on the CD website. My mum is doing CD and she sole sourced for four weeks and is now adding food. Just a bit confused as to why CD brings in food so quickly - well it seems quick to me as I'm on Lighter Life and we do 14 weeks of what effectively seems to be sole source.
Just curious, she's only seen her counsellor twice so far and now won't see her for another 3-4 weeks!! Just doesn't sound like she's getting a lot of support and am a bit worried, there's only so much I can do on the end of the phone.

We Sole Source for four weeks at a time, adding the Add A Meal Week on every week 5.
We can skip the AAMW with the GP's permission, though.
We can also choose to do the Add a Meal all the time if we want to. It is very flexible that way.
We can choose whether we see our CDC weekly, fortnightly or every four weeks, whatever we want to do!
The AAMW is very important as it boosts the metabolism to go on to lose more weight. It also adds variety and teaches portion control.
Lighterlife is made at the same factory as CD, just executed in a different way, that's all.
The www.cambridgediets.com site is worth a visit.
Also, your Mum should have got two booklets from her CDC - one specifically for Sole Source, the other outlining the Steps for Cambridge.
Hope this helps.

hello gang!
I am back!
Well, low carbing & malawi just doesnt work im afraid. Hmmm
I was thinking grilled fish/ salad. V little grilling going on, and BBQing was out as there was an outlawing of charcoal production due to deforestation. However it was chips everywhere ( national food) bread galore ( did resist much of it, but it was eggs on toast or nothing for breakfast) to be frank with that sort of poverty around me, being fussy over a slice of bread or leavintg it wasnt an option. No diet drinks to be found, water rather scarce, im not exxagerating when I say sometimes It was red coke or nothing
Needless to say the weight has not stayed off at all,and im looking decidedly porkier now. SIGH!! im going to restart my CD on the weekend ( I expect it will be harsh with the carbville Ive been inhabiting!)
But theres more to life than worrying too much after day one I thought tuff it Ill deal with it when I get home- im not letting it ruin my hols. We had a fantastic time
C&Q you are doing amazingly! Well done.
Hows everyone esle getting along? Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0
