Maz, I'm pretty sure we dont spend much more than £300 on groceries/take aways etc in a normal month. I had to withdraw savings for this weeks CD, and we dont get paid for around 2 weeks, so next weeks will have to be from savings too.

I could carry on and finish it, although I really miss the social side of sitting down to a meal as a family. I'm not sure DH is going to be able to carry on much longer. though. He's still having bad tummy issues, and terrible food cravings. He's so miserable bless him. He was actually gutted on Friday that he lost weight, because he's said if he didnt lose, he was coming off CD.

We've agreed I think to carry on for the rest of May, and see where we are, both financially and with regard to weight loss and we'll make a decision then.

    Good luck tonight :D

Hope you're OK Pap, been thinking about you hun. Good luck with CDC tonight xx

You said she reckons you will store fat if you exercise too much. Still sounds silly to me, lets agree to differ!!

I feel like you, I really miss sitting round the table with the family enjoying a meal. Think I am just generally going through a really difficult patch with this diet. I keep thinking shall I give up, shall I carry on, should I do the 810cals and then I think of the people who manage this for 6 months and I feel like a wimp!

I can smell barbeques outside and I could cry because I would love to sit there with a plateful and a chilled bottle of white. You are right it is expensive but I think that if you can maybe take a look at your shopping list and try and go down a brand (i.e Tesco value) on a few things just to see if they are okay it does make a difference.

So how will we all get through the next week without giving up eh??!!

I was okay until week 3 when I picked at a couple of biscuits which became a habit. Having a crap time at the moment with the diet too. Shall I carry on, shall I stop (and feel a failure and a wimp) other times I have felt so strong. Lets see if we can get through the next week eh bounce?

I'm already a careful shopper, and feel bad giving the kids value stuff so I can be on a £50 per week diet :(

Lets all do our best to get through this week, and see how we feel :o

Thanks chickadee. And yes we will do it! I just had a couple of slices of ham. Hopefully that won't cause too much damage. I'm just so disappointed by my first week's result of 4.5lbs. I know i'm being a total brat, but i started at 16st. Everyone else that starts at that weight seem to always lose at least half a stone. I haven't been going to the loo at all (sorry), maybe once in the last week. CDC gave me fibre89, not working yet. Hmm. Sorry for being moany. I feel a bit lost at the moment. :( x

At least ham should still keep you in ketosis. Did it make you feel less hungry? No! That's what I tell myself when I have a nibble to try not to have anything else. 4.5lb is great and forget what everyone else loses in their first week. I lost 4.5lb in my first week too so we can both be crap together!! If you can stick to this you will lose a stone a month so try and look forward to the next weigh in (says me who is also struggling like crazy with the cravings). Are you drinking all the water you are meant to? I have about 1.5 litres a day, can't face more than that and if I can't 'go' then I take Senna (Tescos own) and then I feel like a rabbit doing droppings haha
