I use Firefox Pap....explain, explain
Hi spud, download the add on from here through fire fox. Once it is downloaded make sure its installed. You can check this by going to *tools ~ add on ~ extentions*.
Then right click near the address bar and click customise. Then drag the smilie icon onto your tool bar next to the address bar. Then to use the software its easy. Click on the smilie and on the left an extension bar should pop up. Within there search anything ~ smile/rain etc. A list should appear of all the different smilies to chose from. When you click on each one there is a previes at teh bottom of the bar.
To add it to mse, make sure you are typing in html. So the message screen should be white and not grey. To change this click the A/a in the top right of this box. Highlight the one you want (so the preview is at the bottom) then click the arrow and chosse insert forum code. Then the html should apper where you curser was in the text.
When you sumbit your message it should appear as the smilie not the code :j If you need any more help just shoutAlso in the same add on thing you can change your theme so it looks different to usual :T Done exactly the same way.
Sorry for hijacking the thread
In good news, well done mrs A, Mr A and Bounce

Well done on the losses Alpha and Bounce :T
If I'm honest, I'm not sure how long we'll be able to afford to carry on with CD. For the 2 of us, plus food for the kids, our food bill is now at least £500 a month
Fingers crossed we'll be able to carry on eating properly by ourselves when we have to stop.Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

Sorry Alpha. If I could I would come and show you but I cant
I am off to bed now, wont be back online till after meeting my CDC. Have a great Sunday all :j0 -
Alf, thats great all things considered - 2.5 lbs well done.
Poggy, I'm a bit of a technophobe too. I loaded my pics onto facebook and just posted the link. Would love to see them. Theres nothing like a before and after pic for a bit of motivation!
bounce, 4.5 lbs, Thats good - isn't it?
Spud, I am with Goldy on this too, but your CDC is half right.
When you eat normally, carbs are broken down into glucose and stored as instant access energy, on a VLCD, you are not eating carbs so if you exercise too energetically your body will go into panic mode and may go for your muscle tissue, before your fat.
When you first start a VLCD, you should refrain from heavy exercise, as you don't have any instant access energy and your body is making a major adjustment to living without the sugars. If you were previously taking some sort of exercise you should be OK to start picking it up again.
If you were not exercising previously, you need to take it slow and build it up, like you are doing, power walking is much better at fat burning than running. Over exercising can be detrimental to your health and your weight loss.
Weight bearing exercise is good - it builds muscle tissue that uses more calories than fat just existing. Aerobic exercise should be at a slower progressive rate for weight loss. Like power walking.
But - Exercise is one of the best things you can do for your overall health, regardless of how it affects your weightloss. It releases hormones that will give you a natural high, and make you feel good.
If you are fit but 15st, you will be much healthier than someone who is 7 stone, but unfit.
Long term - I know we all want to look nice and slim, but it would be good to live longer to show it all off!!!
I'll get off my soapbox now - told you before, know the theory, just not very good at putting it into practise!!!0 -
So, as my CDC was referring to me, she was right. I didnt do any exercise before.
Hope you're OK Pap, been thinking about you hun. Good luck with CDC tonight xxIs it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

hey peeps!
Bounce and Alf! well done on the losses! Hard lines mr Alf...
Spud - £500 a month is a lot but be honest and make a list of your shopping, alcohol and takeaway spends on an average month and i bet you're not far off....
i would limit yourself to commit to this for say a month at a time, and see how you feel about carrying on..... with each month that passes you'll be nearer to slim and won't want to back track.... you owe it to yourself to finish this journey...
Pap - good luck for tonight... I'm back on the mobile so let me know how you get on.
I'm weighing in tonight.... i better get a freaking loss or i will need suicide watch!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0
