Id been wondering wherther you could melt the cottage cheese in mushrooms! :j seems you cvan BRILLIANT NEWS!! i might alter it for tonight and have more of a "bake" with sliced smaller mushrooms as thats what Ive got in.
NOt a good day for me today. Toilet + van nightmare which iM not going to go into but lets just say, its really not easy! I had to avoid fluids for the rest of the afternoon ( Ive spent 8 hours literally driving today) so it made me v hungry, and I had to choose something- half a packet of crinklin cheddars- made me feel sick. NOT HAPPY _pale_
On the plus side I did manage to buy myself a PENCIL skirt :T :T which Ive always wanted ( i love that wartime look, but Ive always looked more of the "fishwife over the fence" than glamorousl "hello girl" which Ive alway liked"
Im in a really funny place with it at the mo, I love how I feel, I dont want to not do it, but im worried about getting too thin, and im not able to drink the fluids while in the van
can someone slice through these issues for me and tell me what to do?!! Toots? C&Q?? My CDC is away at the moment.... otherwise Id hassle her about it!?!
Oh emmz, at that price you are being robbed. Cambridge costs me about 32 a week. Aside from the soups, theres no flavours I dont like. OH has even tried some of my bars, and he liked them too, I think he was quite impressed. I was too! Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

Lyn - re cooking cottage cheese - I have a recipe for an old-fashioned baked cheesecake which is made with sultanas, cottage cheese and sugar, with nutmeg on the top and it is divine!! So, yes, you can cook cottage cheese!
Regarding the weight issue. If you end up between BMI 20-25 it is considered to be a healthy weight range.
It still depends on what you want, how you feel and the weight you feel comfortable at!
Also, if you feel that you can maintain that weight too.
Great news on the pencil skirt! Now all you need are the seamed stockings and stilettos to go with it and you will knock your OH's socks off!!

I just worry that I cant maintain. the foods Im choosing ( alas i lezve it until im "desperate") are of the snack junk variety. A jaffa cake, half a bag of cheddars :w In saying that, bread pastry and potatoes dont appeal one bit- which is good news. I do fancy brown rice tho, but not to the point of actually having any.
This leads me to think moving into maintainence stages isnt a good idea- otherwise I know i will veer towards the "CD is a crash diet" as opposed to the long terming that it undoubtably is. Saying that its TOTM today ( which is a miracle when you think about the pencil skirt!) so maybe thats part of the craving of junkiness.
Does your CDC help with this sort of thing? My CDC seems to be very encouraging, but when I tell her Ive slipped up, its almost liike there is no real discussion of it, just blind enocouragment that im "doing ever so well"
I mean, I am doing well, Im not knocking my progress at all, but then saying that ketosis really does a lot of the hard work for me to be truthful. But going from obese to borderline underweight is amazing in such a short space of time.
I dunno!!
Ps will NOT be driving the transit in stilettos :rotfl::beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

I haven't cheated - yet!! Or fallen off the wagon - so haven't needed that discussion!
Working up the plans, as Cambridge suggest, does work.
Doing 1000 for two weeks, then 1200 for two weeks, then 1500 etc. to re-introduce carbs gently to your diet so that you don't gain weight but maintain.
Then you can have a blowout every now and again provided you stay on a low GI diet for most of the week.

Hi all
Just to let you know that my restart this week has been successful.
I have done 3 perfect days and feeling good. Nicely in ketosis and 8lbs down already.
Just started a job working 2 night shifts so was tentative about whether I would be able to sole source but 'so far so good'.
Hope the other starters this week got past the starting block and everyone else seems to be still happy and progressing so pleased to read that.:j Trytryagain FLYLADY - SAYE £700 each month Premium Bonds £713 Mortgage Was £100,000@20/6/08 now zilch 21/4/15:beer: WTL - 52 (I'll do it 4 MUM)0 -
I just worry that I cant maintain.
For me, getting down to target and maintaining was two different tasks. Cambridge took me to the place where I could start again. Banish the food issues that I had, and learn to live normally. Making good choices etc.
Moving up the steps certainly helped, especially when I got to the part when I came out of ketosis.the foods Im choosing ( alas i lezve it until im "desperate") are of the snack junk variety. A jaffa cake, half a bag of cheddars :w
That was something that I really had to work on when I got to goal. But going from obese to borderline underweight is amazing in such a short space of time.
You don't want to fall into the trap of dealing with a small problem now, only to make it a huge problem forever.Cambridge Weight Plan Consultant0 -
thanks for his louise its really helpful. I'll reply to each bit, to ee what you think. For me, getting down to target and maintaining was two different tasks. I think im part way there. I certainly dont think that carbs are good for me, and Im not wanting to make them part of my diet long term. Ill choose carby veg ( eg parsnips, carrots etc) over bread/pasta/potatos. I can now see how my mates can have a chicken salad for lunch and not be utterly starving, I hope this can be maintained. I will continue over the long term ( if its wise??) to have a shake for brek, salad for lunch , more of a proper dinner ( as per the CD booklet) and bars for snacks- much better than the snickers i used to have ( a few a day )
Moving up the steps certainly helped, especially when I got to the part when I came out of ketosis.
Not sure if im still in ketosis, broadly im not "hungry" but I sometimes feel slightly dizzy. However, this could be as IM driving all day, and living on "high alert". I certainly dont want to feel sleepy after lunch again, so it works well in that regard but sometimes I just feel I need some sort of boost.
That's probably because you are still in 'dieting mode'. You break the diet, so think what the heck, and turn to those foods that are considered 'bad'.
its not so much that, its more "what can I buy in a petrol station". Answer- not a lot! I bought a bag of crispos today ( the multigrain things) had one threw the rest out. I dont know what to do for the best when I feel like this
That was something that I really had to work on when I got to goal.
Are you borderline underweight now? That's scary and no way should you be on a diet less that 800 cals. You will now be losing lean body mass that will make it harder to maintain. Muscle burns more calories than fat. I know...it's so tempting when we still think we are overweight and we find a diet that works, but take care eh.
You don't want to fall into the trap of dealing with a small problem now, only to make it a huge problem forever.
I am borderline, or certainly was last week. CD reckoned i should be on 790, before hols. However, my job is really physical when Im not driving, up and down ladders, walking a LOT ( good couple of miles walked today) carrying heavy stuff ( toolboxes, ladders etc) and Ive never done a job as physical as this before, so part of it is just that, have I got enough energy to do all the stuff im doing.
Im 5.0 -5.1 and my BMI was 26 last week I think, so Im not sure what it is now as I dont have scales. saying that the cheddars etc will have put on "weight" but it will be in my muscles as opposed to anywhere else IYSWIM. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most?
