  • There is a heck of a lot of food on the 790 believe me!!

I have a hard time wading through it. Today I fancied some mince which I cannot have so decided on kidology and went for Quorn Mince - all 10oz of it!!!! Did it with some steak seasoning and cooked it in the Marigold Vegetable Bouillon to give it flavour. Served it with broccoli, cauliflower and mushrooms with a large dollop of fat-free plain yoghurt (I am not using the skimmed milk allowance). It was rather tasty but I had half of the Quorn and the veg at lunchtime and the other half of the Quorn about an hour ago!

Just having a final shake now. Had a shake for breakfast and a bar in the afternoon!

I have some fish for tomorrow, which I am going to bake in the oven and have with some fresh asparagus and mushrooms mmmmmm I love asparagus!

Im struggling with the 790 too its true.

I think the more I eat the more i want to eat, and this isnt good at all.

I am going to do as follows today.

Half a shake in a minute

    Half bout 11.30

    Half about 2.30

    Half about 4.30

I have fish for dinner, a piece of cod. I am probably going to bake it too, maybe in a bit of milk. It does look rather a lot tho. Im going to just have it with a few lettuce leaves. Again, most of last nights turkey was given to the dog, just couldnt get it down. Wonder if she likes cod!! :D

Then Ill have my bar for pudding.

I am going to try and do as much excercizing as poss today, walking up to the shops later this morning, then a cleaning and packing mission for the holidays. And I have to dig out the video player from the loft as I bought a rosemary conley fat burning video from a charity shop yesterday, so I might give that a whirl. ive never been able to do these all the way through before, and Im wondering as its "fat burning" workout, maybe I shouldnt be doing it? Ill just do a bit of it I think & see how I feel.

Has anyone else any ideas for cheap/free excercizing. My cdc says I shouldnt be doing any fat burning excersicing only toning at this stage. The only things I can think of are
*yoga/ pilates ( i just cant stay motivated at these get very bored)
*walking ( tend to do a couple of miles per day, do have a pedometer I got free from Branflakes the offer seems to have ended now tho )
    *swimming
*aqua aerobics ( why are the classes for these in the daytime :( )
*weights ( OH ha dumbells so will give them a go again, sort out these bingo wings hopefully!)

Any other thoughts and ideas on these?

  • I do swimming.

I use an exercise bike and an air walker

By the way - dogs love fish!! Mine does anyway!

    Have fun!
  • hiya everyone..

I've tried doing Cambridge before, found it really difficult and actually managed to lose NO WEIGHT in the first week  which of course put me off and I've never lasted beyond that. However, I did used to struggle with the amounts of water so maybe that's why?

I've been reading a bit here tho and you guys are inspiring me to try again.. I've got major lardage to shift and nothing else seems to work so.. I've got nothing to lose have I? I'm seriously thinking about giving it another bash but the CDC for my area is a bit unsupportive - never returns calls and only sees people one day a week.

I'm thinking about it.. hope you dont mind me reading here in the meantime?

Well done all of you :D

    Course not ethel :)

I think it ultimately is the water, it certainly has helped me hugely.

on the days whne I dont drink much , I really struggle.

It could be that if you started it around your totm then you could have had the water retention in any case, I have only lost 1lb on my totm weeks.

Glad we are inspiring you, If I were you Id get stuck in! Im so pleased I heard about this, its changed me- in more ways than one. I only wish Id known about it earlier, and then I would have had fewer lost weeks of moaning, sulking and being unhappy and unmotivated with my appearance!

I'd forgotten how un-yummy ice cream milkshake these things taste!!!

Oh well. Not like it's *real* food, just sustinance to get down yer throat...

    Day 1 proper, doing ok!

EDIT: should have said I'm trying the 'weight matters' plan... still to find a 'yummy' flavor - carrot soup and latte to try yet though.

Wharts weight matters? Is that different to CD? If so - whats the difference ?

I quite like all the CD shakes.... not over keen on the choc mint one, but all the others are pretty nice IMO

    it's essentially the same thing..

but tastes worse! they don't have enough counsellors at the moment so its all mail order... which suits me because I don't like seeing anyone when I'm *fat*... and I think this is cheaper than ebay buying!

  • Hi all

I've just finished my first week on Cambridge and have lost 9lb. I did it in 2005 and lost 3st in 11 weeks, had to give up as I got pregnant!

I agree with everyone who says you have to glug the water! It's boring - so I get the Summer Berry flavouring to liven it up a bit.

Good luck to all fellow dieters!
