grrrrrrrrr I've just had my weigh in after week 2 and I haven't lost anything! not even a pound
My counsellor said that she's seen it happen a couple of times before but thats its quite rare. I'm feeling really despondent now about the diet cos I've completely stuck to it, the only thing I can think of is that I've had a couple of cans of coke zero but apart from that I haven't done anything different from last week where I lost 9 lbs.
oh well,I'm gonna give it another week and see what happens0 -
Oh CJC dont despair.
How do you feel in yourself, do you feel lighter?
Are you due "on" only that plays havoc with gains & losses, I am almost beyond caring what I weigh, as long as I look good and feel good thats what matters.
JUST REMEMBER- you are BOUND to be losing if you are on 500 cals per day .FACT. Everyone would do. the only thing I can think its that you have water retantion. I'm not due on but my water retention is really noticeable now ( you used to not be able to see it under the spare tyre)
It is working, it just HAS to be. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
CJC don't despair.
Have you measured yourself by any chance?
I only lost 1lb this week but have lost just over an inch from my chest, my waist and my hips. It is not just the weight loss that is important.
The Coke Zero can cause problems for some people, apparently. Might be a good idea to knock it on the head for a week and see what happens.0 -
Ive been drinking Coke Zero more, and I think its led me to have a bit of water retention, I can definately feel the difference. Im going to avoid it today and tomorrow and see how I feel. The thing is when im drinking Coke Zeo, im drinking less water ( be it only a glass or so) but still, I think it IS making a difference, and Im going to turn Coke Zero in for a few days and see how I feel. Hopefully slimmer :T:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

yeah I'm trying not to feel too bad about it cos I did loose a lot in the first week but just didn't expect to have plateaued so early on!
maybe I am retaining water, I'm trying to drink even more than I was before and definitley going to give the coke zero a miss from now on!
it didn't have anything to do with that time of the month cos I came off last week so definitley not to do with that, oh well I'm just gonna stick with it and drink copious amounts of water and hope for a better weight loss next week!
cnq- I have been measuring myself but don't think I have lost any inches since last week, I did have an idea that I hadn't lost any weight this week cos I didn't feel lighter the way I did last week(if that makes any sense?!)
thanks for the help guys!

Booked my holiday to Malta for next April - All Inclusive - will be lovely!
Am going to do some work there so decided to stay for two weeks whilst I am there!
I love Malta. It is one of those places you either love or hate, though. I love the jewellery that they sell there too!
Something to look forward to, something to keep me on the straight and narrow of CD too.0 -
Mate has signed up to lighterlife so now have liquid diet buddy and we can compare notes... I can't afford the extra £30 a week though!
Been half doing it i.e. brekkie and dinner, had works lunches this week.. think I'm probably just a couple of pounds off - but have the weekend to get myself into it 'proper' i.e. no cheating!Debt free 4th April 2007.
New house. Bigger mortgage. MFWB after I have my buffer cash in place.0 -
Folks whom have done LL and gone to CD say that the CD flavours and bars are far better although, apparently, both LL and CD are made at the same factory!
Good luck!0 -
Thanks evreyone for your replies
On my third day yesterday and found that the hardest so far i was so grumpy I was snapping at the children and hubby they told me if this is going to be what its like they would rather me try another diet although feel a lot better today much to thir relief. is this normal?
I am also finding it hard with the water drinking about 4 litres a day although I work from home as a travel agent on teletext i find i am missing all the calls as i am on the toilet all the time! not good for my business!!0 -
Day 3 is considered to be rather difficult, yes, so you are not unusual in that.
Assure your husband that it does get better! By the end of the first week you feel as if you could conquer the World! Just you wait until your first weigh-in and then you'll see how fantastic CD actually is.
You don't need to drink 4L of water per day. Stick to the 2.25L that CD recommend - the toilet trips will slow down and you will feel a whole lot better. I usually do the 2.25L PLUS coffees but the official line is 2.5L including tea/coffee.
Hope all goes well for you x0
