Cambridge Diet

My cdc recommends 4litres, which I can do ( if not more!) when at home. I do teas, peppermint tea etc on top.
At work ( due to van issues) I do much less more like 2-3. ( inc teas, coke zeros etc)
Yesterday, I did struggle a bit to get back on board.
I only ate half of my protein the night before ( thin cut turkey steaks in the griddle pan yum!) so the rest I chopped up and put in a tupperware to take as a snack in the van.
Had shake for brek, plus bit of turkey in the morning. then lunch was tetra, and half a bar. then I had a mouthful of c cheese at work in the afternoon, plus about 3 litres of fluids ( back in the ofifce) then last night one tablespoon c cheese, and 2 spoons veg, plus half bar. I felt SO much better. Although not having the coke zero ( i think) seemed to give me a cracking headache. Im definately avoiding it from here on in. ( unless I go to pub etc, when obviously its the only thing I can really have!!)
I have had a few cups of tea this morning, will down a litre of water, then shake time for brek, one for lunch then im out this afternoon, then back for meal & bar tonight.
I might sole source tomorrow, just feel like lightening myself off a bit and I can SS much better, as I have unfetered loo access!!
Keep with it, the first week can be a killer, I really struggled, "is it all worth it?" but now the alternative ways of eating seem so wrong. i bought OH some M&S pie thing for his tea last night, and pastry has always ben my weakness. I snapped and asked him for a bit, the texture was so wrong I had to spit it out!
SO I bit wobbly yesterday but generally GOOD! :j:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

h there
i dont know anything about the cambridge diet but having lost 2 stone already on the slim fast diet i can totally see that cambridge woud work because it is similar.
my question is why do you all drink the coke zero? is it just as a coke replacement or is there some other reason behind it like extra energy or something?
well done everyone by the way! keep up the good work!

It is not a good thing to drink coke zero on Cambridge but it is allowed, one glass a day whereas others soft drinks aren't. It is allowed becasue it doesn't contain citric acid like other drinks do and so doesn't knock you out of ketosis.
Personally I stuck to water pretty much on Cambridge and believe that that is the best way to stick to it and get the best results. The odd glass of Coke zero though is a pleasant (ish) change and different taste.
Hope this answers your question.:j Trytryagain FLYLADY - SAYE £700 each month Premium Bonds £713 Mortgage Was £100,000@20/6/08 now zilch 21/4/15:beer: WTL - 52 (I'll do it 4 MUM)0 -
Definately sgree with you shop to drop, its for the variety realy more than anything.
Additionally, its quite a good thing to have in the "wings" if you want to meet a freind in a pub/cafe for example, its somehing you can have as an alternative to water or black tea/coffee when on SS. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? You are also allowed Perfectly Clear but only the Strawberry & Kiwi as it is made from malic and not citric acid.
I bought a Coke Zero when I was at the hospital one day and it made me really hungry in about 20 mins flat - so have not touched it since, just in case!
The 4L of water is really unnecessary!! I haven't time to go to the loo that many times in a day! I still lost 3 stones in 7 weeks on 2.25L-ish!0 -

So right.
I am a firm believer in keeping this diet to the bear minimum. It is 'easy' if you stick to water and packs. As soon as start adding those 'allowed' extras and cooking packs etc IMO it is a slippery slope. I would get back on the water Lyn.

Im sole sourcing tomorrow I think , It IS a slippery slope and i can feel the carb demand... I have to stop it right now. Going to take dog out then do some skipping and then thinking about making diner for OH when he gets in from work. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? The Perfectly Clear doesn't affect me the same way.
I alternate between plain water, sparkling water and both with the CD water flavourings added! I bought a PC in Strawberry & Kiwi just for a change. Other than that I drink coffee or green tea.
Keep on the straight and narrow!!0 -
