Spud - i forgot about your windfall... i think your mum would approve of the new treadmill idea and the logic behind it... maybe start with your local free ads paper (Loot? or whatever) and then refer to internet to see what's what... expect to pay £100 for a second hand decent one i guess.... let us know what you find..

My neighbour tried to sell me her Reebok one for £150, and it's quite a good one, but i just don't have the downstairs space... or the upstairs space for that matter....

Will you set yours up in the conservatory?

Oh its exciting, I was never really that bothered about getting married but once we decided to go for it, I really did enjoy it. It goes so quickly though Alpha.
No a new dress last minute would not be very MSE.
I'm at Chester races that day, so will wish happy thoughts to you from there.

Spud I think you should have a good look, online you usually get some good prices and reviews to help you. As you say, until you lose some more weight you won't go out to do it, and even when you are skinny, you will be able to use it indoors in the lousy weather and when you have to be home for the kids.
I think you have to make a pact with yourself though to use it x amount of times a week, so that you get your moneys worth. I have so much much crap, I have bought and not used.

I dont think so Maz. It gets really hot in there when the sun's out, so I'd probably be better in the dining room or living room.

The only downside is that looking at them, DH wouldnt be able to use it, because of the maximum user weight. I'd hate for him to be embarassed or hurt :o

I wonder wat type they use on Biggest Loser
Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches

The cheapest one I've found so far that he could use properly is £782

I could tell him to just walk on it, but he's bound to ask why. The other option is to hang on a bit until he's a couple of weeks into the diet, and can use other machines

I love BL too, and yes, their machines are probably mega bucks :p

When does BL UK start? I will be sky plussing it to :D

Its another gimmicky think that they sell on the shopping channels, I don't know why I mentioned it, I am embarrassed I even fell for it.

Its like a fitness ball, but shaped like a kidney bean so its a bit more stable

Its alright really, its just that I lie in bed in the mornings at the weekend eating my tea and toast and just end up dreaming about being fit, and think Oh Look that looks good!!!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Spud I think you should just tell him, spur him on with another target, once he gets to the right weight he will be able to have a go.
It will be a total waste of money buying the expensive one when he will hopefully be under the weight limit.

Does he read this thread - I would put it to him that it is something that we told you to get. You should mmmm....Oh I don't know, its lots of money, I'm not sure, then let him say, "you should go for it, if its going to help you" Then you can say, "Look, you stick to your CD you will be able to go on it in a couple of weeks too - it will help both of us!"

What do you think, would that work with your hubby????
