Morning positive peeps!!!
Spud - if you can get a treadmill much cheapness then i would say go for it, if you didn't use it now, you'd certainly use it in the winter months, when inevitably prices for second hand ones go up...
I has reservations about getting one, cause i've nowhere downstairs to put it and worried about coming thru the roof!!
And a craappy cheap version is no bargain at all, you need a pretty substantial one if you want to be able to feel confident on it... whether it be power walking or running...
It's the best time of year for getting out, all these light mornings and late nights.... maybe need to drive out of neighbourhood to get a decent route where you won't feel inhibited..... and once you're a few weeks in, you honestly lose your inhibitions because you're enjoying it so much. - Could kids come with you, Erin is running with me these days, albeit she's only doing 1 mile at a time... but we run well together....
alpha - 3 inches is doable... trouble is you can't pick where they will come off!! I'm confused though, is the dress too long? so surely losing inches will make it longer?? i know my trousers are dragging now i have less front and bum to keep them up?
what about a Xtrainer until you feel your joints can take the load more? or swimming?
Welshy - glad you're feeling more like yourself today, everyone is entitled to the odd bad day...I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
No its too small by a few inches
waist and bust.
I bought it from a fashion show and its designed to be altered up or down by i think it was ten sizes in all!!
I bought it but didnt stop eating.
It should just fit but if i can loose some inches then it will fit better. The seamstress does not want to risk using extra anything from the seams now or they become weak
LOL about the torusers... now i am worried it will be too longNo with heels the length should be fine (im not 100% sure as have not been able to try it on properly as it arrived as a size 14(not wedding 14 normal human 14)
If you dont know where you are going... Any road will take you there :rotfl:0 -

Have you got pics?!
Do you have special underwear... have you tried it on with that? You might find everything is in a different place anyway when you wear your wedding lingerie, so it'll be just fine... you want to be able to breathe on the day.... maybe get some aquaban or something, just to shift any excess water on the day.... although i think water tabs are contraindicated on CD due to increased kidney function... you'll be eating on wedding day anyway.....
One of these days i'm gonna do a Muriels Wedding type tour of all the bridal shops, just so i can try on dresses... i'm destined never to be a bride.... ho hum!!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
Alpha, how long have you got now, 2 weeks?
If you stick to SS for two weeks with no nibbling, and maybe do some long walks you should lose some inches. Its a pretty good incentive to stay on plan!!
Otherwise have you tried that underwear that sucks you in. (Not very sexy I know for your wedding day, but you can take it off later on) I tried some of the tights under a long dress I bought, they did take a while to get on and came right up under your bra. But they did do a good job of smoothing out the lumps and bumps.
My Treadmill is upstairs in the spare bedroom - and our house is a 1970's plasterboard thing, and yes it sounds like you are coming through the ceiling when you are on it. I have put a thick peice of carpet underneath it, which dulls it a little, but it is still quite loud.
I have it set up infront of a TV, (which dosent work at the moment!) So in theory you can go and watch the TV while you are working out so it dosent feel so bad.
It can be be difficult to get out when you have got the kids and its easy to make excuses. They have come down a lot in price, but you do need to make sure that its motorised, the non motorised ones are no good, and that its quite strong. My mum bought ours, but I can't remember where from or how much, it was online I think? I'll ask her and let you know.
Ours has a calorie counter, it does an incline up and down, has about 5 programs if you want them and does the heart rate for you.
On a Money Saving note. Yes it is free to walk / run on the streets, but its not always easy to organise, to buy your own treadmill will cost say 4 months of gym membership, but you have the advantage of having it for a lot longer, you can use it in your PJ's if you want, (Just don't forget the sprots bra!) and its available to you whenever you can fit in the time.
So its a middle ground option. I think anyway. (Unfortunatley I am generally pretty good at justifying spending money!)0 -

Thanks Maz. I'm wondering whether to treat myself to the treadmill with last weeks money. I would want a good un and luckily space isnt really an issue.
I just dont have the time to drive out during the week, I dont get home till around 6, then I've got the kids' dinner to cook, not to mention any revision, homework etc they need to do. At least if I was on a treadmill, they could still do that. And as you say, even when I'm slimmer and not self conscious anymore, I'd still use it lots when the weather's bad.
Maybe I need to do some research. I dont know a good un from a crappy unIs it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

as long as you get a bargain treadmill i think thats great! i love a good bargain
No pics of the dress yet you may have to wait until after the day
will be getting the underware next week (aslo with inch and weightloss i did not want to buy it to far away and then find it not fitting!) so will leave it until the end of next week and hopefully will not shrink out of it too much as its meant to hold me in
Duncan i am def sticking to SSgot no extra money for another dress
that would not be MSE would it
If you dont know where you are going... Any road will take you there :rotfl:0 -
