OK - now with inspiration from Maz, I have sent an email to my friend Gill, the excellent personal trainer I can't afford, as she gave me a running plan, many many years ago, that got you running non stop for 25 minutes in 6 weeks.

Well believe it or not, she still has the program and has just emailed it to me.
If anyone fancies another challenge send me a pm and I will forward you a copy.
It starts nice and easy, run 1 min walk 1 min, repeat 10 times and leads you in gently until you should be able to run for 25 mins.

I have done this, many years ago now, and I am a lot older and unfit, but it worked for me last time.

I was just going to ask you for a copy, but I couldnt run 10 minutes in total, in the same day.

Spud you don't have to run like mad for 1 minute, you should really just jog gently, or if you prefer powerwalk for 1 min.

Don't you dare give up so easily. pm me your email address!!!

spud - you can do this!! think how much quicker you'll get round the Leeds route if you ran a minute/walked a minute!!

and anyway, i barely run any quicker than i walk!! in fact, sometimes i think i'd be quicker if i stopped and [STRIKE]ran[/STRIKE] walked...!

i got from run walk 1 min to run in April for the whole RFL 5k which was end of june, last year... so no reason why you wouldn't get up to the same point... i weighed the same as you then, only with shorter legs!!

Whatever you do will make Leeds easier.... !!!

Did you guys know that Spud, I and some others are doing 10k runforall in Leeds in mid june!! some DFW peeps are walking, some run/walk, some of us running it, but basically it's an excuse for a bit of a party!!!

you could so spud - once you've done it once, you recover (take more than a minute if you need) then jog the next minute, recover again..... it's easy easy stuff..... and you won't be out the house more than 20minutes if you take run1/walk1, and if you take run 1/walk 2 to recover it's still only 30minutes..........

trust me, i know you could do this babes.... i wish i was nearer to come train with you...!

Sue/spud - you're not near each other are you? shame!

i do have faith in you, i do!!!

if push comes to shove you walk the 10k, in good company and get the biggest cheer of all the DFW's!!!

it won't take you an hour and half to walk it hun... you can do that now........ so how much easier will it be by the end of june when you have lost 2 stone by then!!!

Don't you be a quitter on me!!

Oh I wont quit, I promise. I'm a stubborn old mule...albeit a fat one at the moment :D

Didnt someone say it would take 2 hours at walking speed? I'm going to do one, when my energy returns. I have a 10k walk mapped out, door to door ;)
