    Hi everyone

Just got back from seeing my CDC, I've lost 8lb in my first week so am very pleased.

I did talk to my CDC about the fact I haven't had any "movements" for a week, she was slightly concerned and said it's up to me but she would recommend I take some laxatives for it. Think I'm gonna follow the advice I've been given on this thread and get some husks - not keen on going down the laxative route.

    Well done Keywee - that's great !

Well done on the loss Vixster! That's fab :)

Im on Day 17 and its only the past couple of days I've had problems with 'movements'. I ended up taking two sennacot yesterday it seems to have sorted to problem for now, but I'll ask my CDC on Saturday at my weigh in.

Smidgy that's fantastic - you've really inspired me to keep going. I felt a bit down this morning because I've still got a long way to go, but you have made me feel better. Thankyou.

Did you have a lot to lose like me? And did you do it all on SS?
I want to lose a total of 7stone 2pounds so i'm over half way there :D

Yes i've done the last 8-9 weeks on sole source without cheating once. Too many of my friends have cheated and found it too hard to get back on it so I figure it's just not worth it.

well done Vixster!! that is brill!!

Re the movement thingy, maybe take 2 sennkot or something before bed then start to take the fibre stuff as a regular thing... if you take fibre husks when already blocked, it doesn't work, so i'm told as you need a clear system first... i thought it worth saying...

smidgey, you are doing so well, you obviously have an iron will!

    Well done Vixster.

Reading about everybodies first few days has made me remember mine. Although it was only 11 days ago, I had forgotten just how bad it was.
I was a serious carb and coffee freak so my "comedown" was horrid. I can't drink black coffee which didn't help.
I had a headache, I was hungry and my eyes were so heavy. I was snapping at my husband on the phone and trying so hard not to take it out on my son as well.
As soon as my husband got home from work, he sent me for a bubble bath and then straight to bed.
Bless him. He was an absolute star.
I woke up the next morning feeling 100% better.

So my message to all new starters who are finding it tough, is that it will get easier.
    Week One ~ 6 lbs loss :j

    Week Two ~ 2 lbs loss :j

:rotfl: Thanks for the encouragement Toes. Felt terrible this morning had the shakes and felt hot and cold on an off but as the days progressed I feel great. had Porridge for brekkie and I think that perked me up, I'm interested in getting some of those kertostix. I'm only on day 2 but have started to get the metallic taste in my mouth. tried to brush the taste away with toothpaste but its still there. Does that mean I'm starting the ketosos stage or have I still got a few days to go. I started cutting out carbs a few days before starting CD. I've been really ratty with everyone and I hate taking it oout on them.
