Hi Wesh_cake - as mentioned above, try adding some black pepper - it really does make a difference. The spicy tomato and leek & potato soups are pretty tasty.
Work today was pretty awful. It was my colleague's birthday and she brought in lots of goodies, which were quite hard to resist, especially when more than one person said to me "oh go on, one won't hurt you". When I took the time to explain about the diet I'm doing, I was told it was "ridiculous" and "dangerous" and that I should just eat more healthily and do some exercise....like I haven't tried that !!!!!!!!!!!! I should have just kept quiet !
Urrrghh feel really cr*ppy tonight !
Sorry guys - moan over !

I'd not had a weight in for a couple of weeks due to work commitments! I got weighed on Friday and had lost 11lbs since my previous weigh in. This brings my total to 4stone 2lbs in 8 weeks!
Only 4 more weeks to go then I have to jump onto the 810 plan for a week
4 Stone?!! That's a massive loss in 8 weeks. I've been on the plan for 7 weeks and have lost 2 stone 8 lbs.
This week another 5 for me. Pleased as punch.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
Hi all
I am new to the CD, on day two and finding it hard felt hungry today with headache threatening all day, have taken tablets and drank lots of black coffee think I am ok to do that, have realised today just how often i pick things up and ;put them in my mouth without thinking. trying to drink all the water that i should am of work for a few days so should be ok with pee stops. Looking forward to getting lots of help from everyone feeling really positive though just reading past replys, get my first weigh in on sat will let you know how it goes.0 -
I actually really like this soup. I have loads of black pepper mixed in with mine though. Have you tried pepper? Or some of the others try spices etc.If dogs don't go to heaven, then I want to go where they go. :A0

Smidgy that's fantastic - you've really inspired me to keep going. I felt a bit down this morning because I've still got a long way to go, but you have made me feel better. Thankyou.
Did you have a lot to lose like me? And did you do it all on SS?0 -
is there anyone out there to talk to, on day 3 and need some support, feeling really hungry and need some distraction0
-
Oh huggybear1 - keep with it - try not to think of food and think about what your body will look like like in a few weeks time and all the lovely clothes you will be able to wear. I am on day 2 and feeling ok today, but i am sure tonight will be a different story, as that is when I suffer the most. My CC told me that i could have sugar free gum if I wanted, so maybe that will help you. Something to chew on might distract you. Don't give up.If dogs don't go to heaven, then I want to go where they go. :A0

hi guys, i'm around.... happy to be distracted too!!
re the gum, my CDC reckons best not to chew at all as it can give false satiety (sp) messages to the stomach and brain....
i wanted to chew gum when first into ketosis to get rid of taste so we compromised and she said i could chew the gum for maybe say 10 chews (until hard coating is broken) mouth refreshed and then spit it out... so that's what i do now when i want a sweetie fix... i only chew half a piece of extra at a time as i hate wasting a whole piece!! lol!!! ever MSE me!!!
The point i was trying to make is, that all CDC's will tell you differring advice and it's very much a case of trial and error....
The first few days are torture for some peeps, but it doesn't last long, then once you are established into Ketosis, you can start adding in variables and see what works for you, makes you feel better or worse, affects your ketosis, y'see everyone is different....
best not to muck about with the status quo until you know you are well on your way... near end of week 1, even into week 2....
only my opinions incidentally..... not scientific fact or owt!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
Maybe I will leave off the gum then. Not really bothered about it today anyway, but yesterday I could have eaten the contents of the cupboard I was so hungry.
Sorry to keep asking, but what is SS?If dogs don't go to heaven, then I want to go where they go. :A0 -

Sorry to keep asking, but what is SS?
Soul source... i.e. 3 (or4) shakes a day and nowt else...
as opposed to SS+ which is the milk allowance or a 200cal meal....
re the gum..... great to know it's there if you need it... but probably best avoided until required... plus gum never went well with the water!! lol!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0
