re the laxative thingy, once the "blockage" has cleared as it were, you should probably get some fibre stuff from CDC to avoid the same thing happenning each week.... a bad cycle to get into is taking a laxative each week just to force yourself to go.... always think it has smacks of anorexic behaviour to it, but that's maybe just me..... speaking as one who did that for the first few weeks... i was thinking hmmmmmn well if i wait and take my laxative on the day before weigh in, it'll mean i weigh less etc etc....! It was just a behaviour pattern i thought best avoided for me.....

Even with the added fibre, there is less waste than general, as there is less coming in and much less excess fibre or bulk with CD... think rabbit pooh!

You can also buy physkillum(sp) husks from Holland and barret which provide fibre without affecting CD....

Laxatives tend to make for unpleasant stomachs the next day... not the happy gentle breezing down the stairs, get on with your day kinda thing they show on the telly!!!
I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....

Thanks for that Maz, I'll mention it to my CDC on Wednesday night and see if I can get some fibre, if not, I'll pop into Holland & Barrett for some husks (not that I have a clue what they are, but i'm sure I'll soon find out!).

This forum is just great, I love having somewhere to go to ask questions, get support AND motivation !

Hope everyone's having a good day.

    Evening everyone.

I've had the week from hell (its been my first week aswell so testing times!) but managed to lose 5lbs. I've actually found the plan easy to follow but my baby boy has been in hospital and i've also had an emergency op to have my wisdom tooth out.

Hopefully this week will be less stressful and i'll be able to find the time to go running and drink all my water.

Hope everyone else is doing ok.

Hi Mrs T, well done on your loss, that's great news!

Sorry to hear about your baby boy, I hope he's doing ok now! Sounds like an absolute nightmare week and you've still lost 5lb - a pat on the back is well deserved

Today is day one on the diet for me so I hope you dont mind me joining in :)

Anyway..A bit about myself.. My name is Emma I am 29yrs old and I am hoping that I wont be the size I am now when I reach the big 30 in august :j

I have just over 6 stones to loose so I shall be here for a while just poping in and having a read and posting my progress.

Right must end there and get on with some housework!

I hope you all have a great day x

    Hi Mummy2Jack

I'm on Day 6 of the CD so haven't been on here long myself. I've found this thread SO helpful, especially on an evening, if I need a bit of motivation or inspiration, I just log on and read everyone's posts and that really does the trick!

I also have about six stone to loose, possibly 7 stone (depending on how I feel/look). My 30th is next year so like you, I'm determined not to be this size then!

I also have a big holiday this Summer, off to Vegas in August (my bro is getting married while we're there) so that's a really good incentive for me - there's a big crowd of us going and there's NO WAY I'm going to be the one who's lurking at the back of the group, feeling uncomfortable - which is how it will be if I don't loose weight!

Anyways - good luck for your day one - which plan are you following?
