    Hi Mummy2Jack

I'm on Day 6 of the CD so haven't been on here long myself. I've found this thread SO helpful, especially on an evening, if I need a bit of motivation or inspiration, I just log on and read everyone's posts and that really does the trick!

I also have about six stone to loose, possibly 7 stone (depending on how I feel/look). My 30th is next year so like you, I'm determined not to be this size then!

I also have a big holiday this Summer, off to Vegas in August (my bro is getting married while we're there) so that's a really good incentive for me - there's a big crowd of us going and there's NO WAY I'm going to be the one who's lurking at the back of the group, feeling uncomfortable - which is how it will be if I don't loose weight!

Anyways - good luck for your day one - which plan are you following?

    Thank you Vixster x

I am on the SS plan..

Just had my first sachet of porridge must admit first spoonful made me gag :rotfl:
Porridge just isnt my kind of thing but its was either that or soup for brekkie and really dont fancy having soup for breakfast
Anyhow I eventually forced it down.and found, it didnt taste so bad after the first spoonful :)

Mummy2Jack - I'm doing SS as well. I had the same reaction with the cinamon & apple porridge, I found it far too sweet and really difficult to eat, thank goodness there isn't that much of it. I much prefer the original flavour porridge.

After the first couple of days I realised that I'm far hungrier in the evenings than the mornings so I've been missing brekkie (but drinking tons of water to keep the hunger pangs away) then having a soup for my lunch at about 1pm, then some porridge at about 6pm when I get home from work then a shake at around 8pm. Seems to work for me but I know everyone is different.

Wow Church mouse you have lost soooo much weight sooo fast, well done you... I'm starting the CD tomorrow going to see my cdc tonight for the first time. When you guys are talking about ss do you have to be weigh over certain amount to be able to do it.... I weigh 11 stone and my BMI is 26.8 I think so will I still be able to do ss. Also does the weekly weight loss depend on how much you weigh coz if I loose as much as church mouse that would be amazing. I'd only have to do it a couple of weeks.... Realistically I was expecting to loose 2 lb a week. Any ideas

you need to have more than a stone to lose to do CD... i think it will depend on your CDC whether you go to 3packs plus a meal for slower loss over longer term, even still only a few weeks really for 1st and a half...

If you have a lot to lose, it's said that you lose more in the first weeks, cause you hold proportionally more water and glycogen...

If i had a BMI of 26, i doubt i'd do CD cause it's so extreme, i assume you've tried other things... plus post CD maintainence is a longer term thing to keep the weight off... so be prepared for the long haul...

The loss is average 3lbs a week, taking into account higher and lower weeks... but many many people go over that... i'm average 4 at the moment, and that was with a 0 week...
