  • Your GP isn't taking responsibility he is simply allowing the Cambridge Counsellor to provide the Cambridge Diet to you.

I cannot see Prozac being a problem at all. The trouble is that with some high-strength depression medications there can be problems with a VLCD and the medication.

Same with people on hypertension medication or diuretics - because CD is naturally diuretic it is sometimes necessary for the GP to alter the current medication, or at least to monitor the weight loss and the action of the medication.

Don't worry about it I am sure you will be fine.

well Ive had to use a days leave today. Luckily my cdc is meeting me close by ( she has a car) with my order. However, no WI, however, given the fact totm is still with me, I think thats good! Dont think i could face the disappointment of the scales :D

Otherwise feeling pretty good 2ls down today so far, will keep on at that. Ive been drinking 5ls most days ( i dindt yesterday and was quite starving as a result, although I tihnk I only managed about 2 :o)
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast
  • oh well done - at least you get the supplies!

I cannot drink that amount of water in a day - not unless it is really hot weather.

    thats great C&Q

I must say im feeling a bit despondent today. I dont know what it is but im really hungry.

Im glugging , on my 2nd litre of water now but belly is rumbling like something else and im at home, and the cupbaords are calling.

I went back to bed for a nap to see if it would subside, and it hasnt :(

  • Have you tried chewing sugar-free chewing gum?

    It might help

Oh im not doing that, I used to chew gum a lot and it definately made me more hungry. Ive just had a cup of tea and a glass of tescos diet cola ( thanks for that tip BTW, really enjoying the variety LOL)

Wonder whether I should have a couple of forkfuls of cottage cheese, just to help me get by...

Try to stay on course Lynn!(Hard I know!) You and Cute and Quirky have really inspired me to try this diet I'm on my 6th day!
It was the line about it being as good as surgery without the side effects.

Chin up girl you've not got much to lose you'll be eating what you what you want in no time.
But if ever I stray from the path I follow
Take me down to the English Channel
Throw me in where the water is shallow And then drag me on back to shore!
'Cos love is free and life is cheap As long as I've got me a place to sleep
Clothes on my back and some food to eat I can't ask for anything more
