I understand what you are saying and I know that often people confuse hunger and thirst. No idea what it is about water, it just makes me heave the taste of it, I dont even use much when I am brushing my teeth as I cant stand it in my mouth, I cant even take a tablet with water, even when I was in labour with all my children, you are only supposed to drink water and I couldnt even do it then and ended up on a drip. I just hate the taste of it, have tried all the brands with no luck, they all still taste of water!0

Im not sure you can have tesco coke, i thought it was only coke zero ( not even diet coke instead) as DC has one of the ingredients that will kick you out of ketosis. (oops just noticed C&Q said we can! Wooo - its way cheaper than zero isnt it!)
Tesco diet cola is allowed! It contains no citric acid, the same way coke zero doesn't either. Also the Perfectly Clear Strawberry & Kiwi has no citric acid either.0 -

Have you thought of having a hypnotherapy session? One session would cure you of this phobia.0 -
Hi
Regarding the importance of water intake on this diet, l know last time I was on it I suffered badly with nausea, headaches, dizziness, and "wobbley legs", which my counsellor said was due to the fact I was not drinking near enough water, so needless to say this time I am forcing it down!!

thats a really good idea isnt it. Id never have thought of that.
not hungry enough for my lunch shake yet. Although its weird I was a bit tempted ( only momentarily) by these rank looking samosas in the spar of all places! Really glad I had the wherewithall to withstand that one.
Having a bit of a panic as theres a tube strike on tomorrow and my cdc lives quite far from me, hopefully they'll call it off- so I can get more shakes - if not god knows whats going to happen :beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
Don't want to burst your bubble but the strike is actually for 72 hours (3 days) and passengers are being advised to complete their journeys tonight by 5 p.m. as services are being reduced from 4.30 p.m.
Perhaps you'd better ask your CDC if they can deliver to you.
I know!! We are trying to be released from work shortly although its not looking likely
Im going to be taking 4 buses and a train to get into the office tomorrow. and then same again to get home, plus trying to get to see my CDC. I can see the next few days being a whole heap of fun!

I've just started using one of the additives as I can't stand plain water and I must admit I'm having no trouble drinking now.
I would like to point out though that my CDC is undergoing tests because she is suffering pains in the region of her kidneys which are thought to be attributable to her drinking too much water. She drinks 6 litres per day. So it seems there can be dangers from drinking too much too (although I don't know what the medical field say is the average healthy amount to drink - i think it is around the 2.25 litres recommended by Cambridge).
The human body can take 12-13 litres per day quite safely when taken over a 24 hour period.
The recommended daily water intake is 2L per day, more if it is hot, or if you are exercising a great deal. CD recommend 2.25L.0 -
I was just telling people what my own CDC has told me - she drinks 6 litres per day and has had tests because of her kidney pains and the medical profession attribute the pains to her drinking too much.
I don't know if everyone is different when it comes to water consumption or not though.
Can you say where you got your info on humans being able to drink 12-13 litres per day from? I did read another CD site where they were saying about people drinking 10 litres with ecstacy and dying as a result.
Oh well, I'll never be in that position as I don't find it amazingly easy to drink lots of water - although the berry flavour additive from CD is absolutely lovely.
The human body can take large amounts of water over a 24 hour period but not all at one go. Ecstasy makes the person want to drink and drink and drink.
There have been cases where folks have taken ill by drinking 6L of water day in day out because of potassium being flushed out of the body.
If someone is prone to kidney problems then excess water will be harmful to them.
It is best to stick to 2L-3L per day - which is sufficient. Some folks do go overboard!!!
I think Wikipedia has full details on water-consumption if you want to read further.0 -
Just been for my weigh-in ... and that's another 6lb gone .... which gives me a stone off over all!!! Fantastic .. I'm sooooo chuffed!
Here's to another good week and a few more lbs off!!!
Hope all you others are keeping it up and doing well x0 -
Lou - just remember that your Doctor is not signing his 'permission' to do Cambridge, he is signing the form to say that he 'knows' about it and that the information you have supplied to Cambridge - via the Medical Form - is correct.0
