If you do come out of ketosis, does it take long to get back in? Or is it generally dependent on the person?

Well met my cdc, and she was lovely spent more time talking about other stuff, so alike :o so hopefully, this will help in my battle to lose the fat! I have dead on 4 stone to lose, and to get my bmi down by 10, feeling very excited still, but by tonight i am sure i will be losing it, poor A&E doctors, as going onto 3 night shifts, i will have to explain before my shift to stay away from me  x x x
  • If your thinking of doing the Cambridge diet for £34pw then surely you'd be better off doing the go lower diet and eat real food for the same price.

Oh God... what a horrendous week... my worst ever... AND I'VE ONLY GOT MYSELF TO BLAME!!!

Had 8 days this week, as my CDC and I rescheduled for a day later than usual. I absolutely thought I'd get a brilliant weight lost - perhaps the best yet since the first.

On Tuesday night I went to see Alkaline Trio at Koko's and worried that, as I'd be drinking vodka and soda water all night, I'd get far too smashed quickly. So I had some chicken. Quite a bit, as per usual. Then I had about 6 vodka/sodas.

Then, Thursday night, even though I didn't need to... I had chicken again. And... yes... quite a bit of it.

And... god... today, I had a chicken mayo sandwich, chicken and avacado wrap and... just ten mins ago... a smallish slice of seriously chocolatey chocolate cake.

I'm not seeing my CDC until Sunday. But I already feel like I've blown it :(
  • Gilzor, i thought it was quite dangerous to drink while in ketosis. Sounds like you well and truly blew it that night though!!

Its hard for me to offer sympathy as you know how you feel now. I've been quite hard on myself and not cheated at all. Not that i'm rubbing your nose in it, just putting some perspective on it.

My opinion is that for 12 weeks i'll be as good as i possibly can. At the end of the day this diet costs too much for me to cheat myself.

One small problem is that its my birthday next Saturday, what to do? Not sure to stick to it 100% and enjoy a meal after, or go out and have a meal out but be as good as i can. Opinions anyone please?

  • gilzor, i'm with you

    i've had a terrible 2 weeks

i ate toffee one day and since then i've never stopped.

i've put on half a stone, which isn't a lot, but for me it is.

I go away 3 weeks tuesday, so as of sunday, cause i'm out tomorrow , i'm on full time, i still have a few sachet left, so i'll make an apt to see my cd this week and get 2 weeks worth.

draw a line under it like i'm going to do.

and start again, because if you don't believe me you will just go downhill i did badly

I've asked my CDC about this and she's adamant that spirits such as vodka are fine, as long as you're having them with things like soda water or diet coke. I'm going purely by her recommendation there.
