I don’t know it’s like a ghost town.
Had my first weigh in – I’m down 7lbs.
I had done some improvising by including chicken, a few nuts, cheese and low carb foods as snacks in my diet – not much but enough to take the edge off my appetite in-between meals.
I have found it more difficult this time, I think it’s because I’m at home off sick.
Hope everyone else is doing well.

Well done C'n'Q on your weight loss, you really should enter slimmer of the year.
I've lost 18lbs in 2 weeks, however straight after ebing weighed we went to a big family meal with a 3 course meal. I knew that I would be eating and planned to be off plan, I really enjoyed the eating however afterwards I felt really bloated and sluggish and its made me realise how much better I feel on the CD.
My only worry is what it will do to my weight loss next week. I've had no problem going back to the diet and have been exercising, has anyone had a day off plan eating loads been able to not put on weight or should I expect to put on some, and if so how much?0 -

Hi Maria,
I started on CD then had a family do 2 weeks into it. I had all three courses (but no alcohol) and I still lost 3lbs on my weigh in. The thing is to get straight back on CD and back into ketosis. I too felt sluggish and full and found it a real struggle to finish the full meal (which is a good thing!) and I've had a few more nights out since then and I've always lost at least 2lb on my next weigh in.
I'm into week 14 now and I'm really starting to miss eating with a knife and fork - I think the weather has something to do with it and the fact my Mum makes fabulous Sunday Roasts (which I really miss!). But I keep thinking that I only have 2 stone to go (lost 54lb up to now) and then I'll be able to eat on maintainance so I keep looking at that as a goal.
Good luck and stick in and keep us updated with your weigh in:TLBM 1st May 2012 £53,839
Current debt balance April 2017 £24,427:eek:

Hi Maria, last time I was on the diet I had the odd day off for meals out and still lost good amounts. I would always revert to an Atkins type diet of low carbs but opt for low fat too. I tended to have chicken salad or meat balls or roast dinner (just the meat and veg) or dry curry with salad……….
I also tried to decide what I might have before I got there which made me less likely to order something like fish and chips!!
I would skip a traditional starter and have a glass of sparkly water with lots of ice instead and for desert a real filtered black coffee so that I would not get bloated or over full.
And although it sounds boring it wasn’t being out with friends of family is what mattered. And believe me so many people are on diets (slimming world, weight watcher, Atkins etc) or have food intolerance that I didn’t stick out like a sore thumb.
Enjoy what ever you do.
C&Q I’ve just read the CD mag and you should apply for slimmer of the year.

Am thoroughly enjoying doing SS+ (milk version) with yoghurt.
Scales are going down nicely too
Thanks for the vote of confidence, it really helps x0 -
Thanks everyone, it really helps to know all is not necessarily lost by a days eating. I really feel better for being back on the diet, so fingers crossed that the scales are ok when I get weighed on the weekend. Will let you all know how I get on.
The only problem I have now is that I am full of the worst cold ever and have a really sore throat. I have assummed all I can take is cheap paracetamol - no lemsip or throat sweets - is that correct?0 -
Afraid so Maria. Last time I was blighted by colds and did resort to other medicines simply because I was due to have surgery and didn’t want it delayed. This time I’m taking extra vitamins and minerals and I’ve been fine so far.
Apparently the Cambridge cordial in hot water is supposed to be quite soothing.
