Hi eightiesbabe, well done on starting the CD. You’re allowed to still have normal painkillers and keep drinking plenty of water. That did it for me when I first started! Good luck

Tracey was my inspiration for Cambridge in the first place!

My CDC wants to enter me but I am not too sure about the whole thing.

I would say go for it! Trace was unsure almost up till the deadline! I can honestly say it changed her life! As well as the holiday she had a shopping trip with a shopper for clothes. Also she has become a counsellor & gone from a stay at home Mum to having a really good business.

The diet was life changing on it's own, but winning was even more so! Even if you don't win it is worth entering just to go to the conference!

It isn't allowed on Cambridge. Some people try it and find it's okay...others find it causes problems. If possible, try to do without. A good alternative is the sparkling water and CD water flavourings, but still only 1 teaspoon a day of the powder from week 3

What sort of problems? I just really love having some coke zero as it feels like I;m having a break from the diet.

Whenever you are on a diet, it's your choice. But the Cambridge way is no coke zero as it caused problems with cravings and one thing about the diet is that if you break it, some people find it hard to get themselves back on again.

I also think it's quite hard to judge the correct amount. 1 teaspoon of CD powder = exactly how much coke zero:confused:

    So...informed choices and all that.;)

Yes, you can have milk on the SS+ plan. 200mls milk, 4 CDs. It's a great plan. Losses are similar to SS:j

Hope today is going well for you :)

thanks for getting back to me on this. I'm only having three shakes or soups so hopefully this is still okay! I am doing okay today thanks but feel a little dizzy so will see how I get on at aerobics tonight!

If you are really want to continue doing aerobics, you possibly need to go up to SS+ or more, especially if you are feeling dizzy. You need more packs, more water. SS is more suitable for those doing little to no exercise, or perhaps just moderate walking

Have you discussed this with your CDC? Don't want you fainting at gym! Take care.

Another option is to split a pack & have half before & half after your aerobics. Listen to your body & if you need to step it down a level. I always say if you already do stuff it is OK to continue so long as you don't push it too hard & ease off a bit if necessary. Also up your water before & during your excercise.

    Good luck

Thanks ladies for the advice. I had half a soup before I went in and then the rest after and actually I felt fine by the time I went into the class and I'm pleased I went. I did chat this through with my counsellor before I joined the diet, but as you say, I need to listen to my body and go with it. It has helped being able to chat with people who have experienced the diet and for you counsellors who can give me guidance. Good to be going to bed knowing I've lasted three days! Night

    We shall see!

    Thanks Nicky x
  • My plateau has come to an end, thank goodness!!

Taking me closer to my goal.
  • Well done C & Q - nearly at the end now!

Well, I've lost 48lbs now in 13 weeks, gone down from a size 22 to a 16 so I should be feeling great but I'm a bit down today. I only lost 1lb this week, mainly due to being poorly for the last week or so and hence on medication which seemed to mess up my ketosis.

Just feel like I want to eat and I gave into temptation last night and ate a whole bag of kettle chips! disgusted with myself.

Need some inspiration pls if anyone is out there:(
