Thanks again for you replies.
I went to see my GP. Doesn't look like they want to sign it, and said they would research the diet before letting me know if they will or not. Oh well, time will tell.0 -
Ketosis is normally seen in diabetics, and is dangerous for diabetics to go into severe ketosis.
However, if you're diabetic you shouldn't be on CD, and we only go into mild ketosis
It's not at all harmful.
There's an info booklet about CD which is designed for doctors, your CD counsellor may have a copy.0 -

Do you need your form signed because of medication or a high BMI?
If it is medication then you can still do some of the Cambridge plans with food.
If it is due to high BMI the same applies and as your BMI drops you will be allowed to do lower plans.
Your GP isn't giving his permission for you to do the diet, he is signing to say that he is aware you are doing it. The GP's do tend to know about LighterLife since they have to see the LL clients before and regularly during the plan

According to the NHS BMI calculator, my BMI is, annoyingly, 40.5!0 -

Right then, all you need to do is to do a higher plan for a week or two and then your BMI will drop.
My BMI was over 50 when I started out last year and is now 32
As soon as your BMI is below 40 you will be able to do the lower cal plans on Cambridge.

Also, doing a higher plan for a bit is a good way of easing yourself into sole source0

Am getting ready to go to Germany on Thursday evening for a week.
Got my tetras and bars ready to pack.
Got my list of clothes done so that I don't take too much to wear!
