Well I'm back from my weekend away with my church
I think I've done well, though yesterday I had chicken which was in a sauce, but I scraped as much off the chicken as I could.
And this morning, I had totally forgotten about communion (as a Methodist, we don't have it every week like the Catholics) but I think communion is more important than a diet, so I took it, and my ketostix were pink when I came home so all is well.
Can't wait to weigh myself tomorrow morning0 -
I went to the hospital for my steroid injection in my hand again (last Friday) It was done in the orthopaedic operating theatre again as they wanted to use imaging equipment to make sure it was in exactly the right place.
My hand has deteriorated so much in a short space of time that the surgeon has now decided he has to operate
This is the last thing I wanted.
Even though he has kept saying that he is frightened in case he makes me worse than I am now he now feels that surgery must be done.
He is going to remove the trapezium (the bone at the base of the thumb), tighten up the ligaments and then wire it all together. It will get rid of the pain permanently but we don't know what will happen where my grip is concerned.
Have an appointment for September to discuss it
So, have to get on and get to goal so that by the time the op comes around I will be in maintenance.
The op will probably not be until November this year.

Sorry to hear your news but hopefully this will eleviate the pain you've been having. Feel awful sharing my good news now.
Just come back from CDC and I've lost 8lbs and 6 3/4 inches! can't believe it - it's been really easy and I've lost all this weight in 1 week! Roll on week 2 - decided I'm going to stick with the chocolate tetra packs and Cranberry bars as I'm missing things to chew on.

Hi everyone I’m back in the computer seat. I had my hysterectomy last Tuesday I did have some complication but I have recovered well and was discharged on Saturday. My consultant said that my weight loss and fitness level (I am a bit of a gym junkie) certainly helped speed up my recovery. Personally I put it done to not being able to get a signal in my room on my mobile so I had to walk to the car park to text………….at lease 4 tomes a day!!!
I’ve had some conflicting advice about how soon I can start on the CD again – is it in 3 months??
It was good to read about how well everyone is still doing and that there are some new people.

Glad to hear your op went well.
It is three months before you can restart on any of the Cambridge plans
However you could follow a low-GI diet for the time being.0 -
As I said earlier I restarted SS today and have slipped into ketosis already, which is just wonderful.
Going to do SS for two weeks, then back to 790 since I go to Germany in three weeks' time and I want to be onto some food before I go.
