    I'm in ketosis! :)

Not quite sure why I'm hungry then :p

My ketostick was really dark (it was a toss-up between the darkest and 2nd darkest  ) is that bad?

I've just had a mushroom soup which I didn't like
So it'll be mushroom crisps as well as vegetable crisps later this week :)

Does anyone have any tips on what to do while I'm at school next week, since I don't have tetras?
My first thought was to funnel the powder into a bottle and have another (wide-necked) bottle with 230ml in and pour the powder on top and shake like mad! Which may or may not work.

    Any better ideas?
  • You really should have the lighter shades of pink on the ketostix

However, in almost 11 months of doing Cambridge I have never ever used one!

You could have a hot shake/soup at work, which would be easier to do. I have had strawberry/butterscotch/choc/fruits of the forest hot and they are very nice.

When you get onto week 3 it gets easier when you can have a bar a day.

Do get some tetras too, as they make life so much easier if you are out at work or out shopping for the day.

They were light pink by the end of the day, it was because I hadn't had much to drink yet.

I cheated  I was at work (at a football stadium) and the smell of hotdogs..! I scoffed two at the end, minus the baguettes so at least I haven't eaten carbs, and my ketostix are still pink so maybe I haven't done too much damage.

I felt sick after, not sure if it was cause of the hot dogs or cause I felt so bad :(

It's kinda sad that after struggling with my weight I finally find a diet that works for me, and I still can't not cheat :(

    Still, tomorrow's another day.

I'm ordering 6 tetras for thursday, so I can have them at school.

Until then I think I'll have hot shakes/soups, I didn't like butterscotch cold so it may be ok hot :) if not then C&M soup.

I'm ordering one of everything I didn't last week :D
So I figured out I won't have two of anything but C&M soup and choc shakes.

Hotdogs have carbs - that is probably why you felt unwell afterwards, along with the guilt. They are bulked out with cereal.

Focus on the reasons you want to lose weight in the first place. Make a list, make it as comprehensive as possible and put it somewhere visible, like on the fridge. Read it a few times a day. Post a really bad before photo of yourself on the fridge too. Put one in your bag so that you can see it every time you are tempted to eat something. That usually works.

Hope all goes well for you today x

I’ve had a mad mad weekend of eating everything - yoghurt, fruit, buffet food and birthday cake. It was my hubby’s 50th birthday and we had folk round from Friday tea time until Sunday tea time. At one point I found myself clutching a knife and fork and tucking into a lovely grill up – ooops!! It would have been rude to walk away from it – Lol!!

Anyway as a result I lost 2lb last week but I’m not bitter. I enjoyed every minute and mouthful of it. We had a fabulous time catching up with folk that we had not seen for nearly 20 years and being with family. I did have some discipline because I didn’t have any alcohol at all. I didn’t even open the bottle of Baileys that my hubby bought for me as a way of thank you for organising his party.

I am due to have a hysterectomy on the 1st July and hoping to be 10lb lighter by then.

Wishing everyone a good week leaving all our ‘wrongs’ where they belong behind us!!

Yay :) well my ketostix are still pink-purple so I haven't done too much damage :)

You'll have to be strict for the next 2 weeks Aislinn!
Glad you had a good weekend, though you may have knocked yourself out of ketosis

I know next time I work I won't have a hot dog! So I guess I didn't scoff them in vain. :) And it's made me morer determined not to cheat anymore.

    -WARNING: CONTAINS MENTIONS OF FOOD-
Just in case you get cravings easily :)

The only thing I've done is, I had some water flavouring yesterday because I was really struggling, so I guess it's not such a bad thing that I did.

It was freezing today! But it's boiling hot in my room, central heating gone mad :p

And I cooked my brother a bacon sandwich and I wasn't even tempted :D smelt lovely though.

I've found I'm getting less cravings now, my brother kept asking me if I wanted a chocolate finger and I kept saying 'no! I'm on a diet :)'
And my dad was quite impressed with em having lost half a stone so far this week.
    So yay :D everything's wonderful.

And I didn't have anything at lunch
Which I haven't done in years! Well, I've never done it without being incapacitated by hunger all afternoon :p

    Am I an addict??

I’ve always drunk glasses of water through the day as I’m not a lover of tea or coffee. Obviously since starting the diet I’ve had to drink even more water.

The other day I was on my way to a meeting and had one hand on the wheel whilst frantically rummaging through my bag (it is enormous!) feeling for my water bottle which I could not find…….I actually got quite panicky at the prospect of not having it with me……..and having to make a 20 mile journey without water………I know anyone would think that I was travelling through a desert and not leafy Lancashire!!

I eventually had to stop at a shop and buy bottle water – I so prefer tap water……………I immediately felt so much better lol!!

I cheated  I was at work (at a football stadium) and the smell of hotdogs..! I scoffed two at the end, minus the baguettes so at least I haven't eaten carbs, and my ketostix are still pink so maybe I haven't done too much damage.

Personally I think that a little bit of what you are craving does you good. As long as you stick to a tiny bit and don’t do it too often. Our bodies are remarkable at telling us what we need - I mean look at pregnant ladies who eat coal and chalk…………

I think just eating the ends of a hot dog shows a lot of discipline and some hot dogs are low in carbs. I say that because I remember eating them without the bun whilst on the Atkins.

I occasionally get the urge just to have something sweet so I have bought a couple of the bars. I cut them up into fingers and wrap them in cling film and just keep a couple in my bag, car, desk drawer, and fridge, and then if I am overcome with the desire to eat, I can have that. And I don’t call it cheating it’s just a blip!! lol

    It works for me x
