  • I will certainly try not to cheat. Thanks for your advice. I did go on to the Minimins site to look about the diet, but found the site very confusing, it was my daughter that said there was a cambridge diet section on here, so i hope that you dont mind if i have any questions, thank you once again

If you don't want to work, you have to work to earn enough money so that you won't have to work ;)
  • No problem at all.

Do give www.cambridgedieters.com Forum a go as it is excellent!
  • I did look at that site a few weeks ago, found it easier to get around than i did on the Minimins site, but i was shocked by some of the posts on there, filthy jokes that had been posted, and also pictures of half naked men. I thought that the site was for people that were on the diet? I didnt understand what those posts were all about..

Folks just trying to keep their mind off food, that's all.

It is a good Forum for information. Do what I do and don't read those threads.

    Well I crashed & burned.

We had invited mum& dad round for Sunday lunch to celebrate the new kitchen( I know) Hubby cooked a pot roast with yorkies & veg and roast taters.

I couldnt resist! On a saucer I had a small piece of beef, a spoon of veggies and a roast tater. My god it was good. That was all I had to eat yesterday, it filled me right up.

    I'm a weak, weak person.

  • Well the food wouldn't hurt you - apart from the potato.

Just a word of advice - you should still have had all your shakes/soups for the nutrition.

Hope you have had a better day today

Yep, back on track. And I'm not at all hungry, I had to make myself have 'lunch'

  • I sometimes have to make myself have all of the shakes - when ketosis has kicked in and you aren't hungry it is a case of having to have what we are supposed to have!

Do you still find it hard to resist? Does it get easier?

I'm fine having a shake for breaky and again for lunch at work, but its at home in the evening I find it really hard. Hubby is great tho, he either eats out or waits till I'm in the shower before making his tea. Last night he made a curry whilst I was up in the bath, which was nice, even nicer was standing in the kitchen later taking deep breaths :p

  • It definitely does get easier.

I have done 8 months come next Tuesday and Cambridge has become a way of life for me.

I do miss the crust off a brown loaf!

Even having my birthday meal last week didn't make me want to eat and eat and eat.

Have lost 6lbs in two weeks too, which I am pleased about!
