I'm on day one of the CD. I had the vanilla shake for breakfast, leek & potato soup for lunch and choc & mint shake for tea. I was dreading the taste of these just in case I didn't like them, but they were all really nice. I've drunk loads of water but my stomach is gurgling as I've not had any solid food. Decided to go to bed out of the way so am not tempted by the food being cooked in the kitchen.

Can you add ice cubes to shakes in addition to the water you use to mix them?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

yes u can and if you look back on page 74 there are a few ideas on what other things you can do and if you like choc mint try adding the mix a mousse its like eating an areo mousse its lovely
i like the porridge as well i havnt made the other things yet but when you can have the bars they are nice my favourite is the peanut and the diet will get easier i found after day 4 i was ok then i hit day 8 and i felt really cold and shaky for 2 days after that everything has been ok and dont feel hungry at all

Ooooh the hotel look VERY posh! Was it lovely? Did you have something nice for dinner?

I'm doing ok today, normally I end up picking at chicken or prawns or similar on a saturday but this week I'm determined - I'm 1 pound heavier than the lightest I got down to last time on Cambridge and next week would be so good if I managed to be my lightest since actually starting! So am sitting glugging away and have 1 more shake to have in an hour or so, then might have some bouillion later on to warm me up - I'm freezing today!

    The Dinner was absolutely wonderful!

Back on the straight and narrow today, though!

I have 24 days until I go on holiday :j

I've just got back from seeing blood brothers at the theatre. We were celebrating me qualifying as a solicitor. Cambridge has opened our eyes to new horizons as we would usually got out for a meal to celebrate something. OH has just gone to collect his pizza whilst i'm looking forward to my chocolate mousse.

well done mooki! For qualifying and for not going for dinner!

I know what you mean though about it opening your eyes. I seem to have so much time now I don't have to prepare and eat (and think about) food. I've wanted an allotment for ages and now I've suddenly found the time to do it and am enjoying reading up on it all. I've found time to do loads of stuff actually - declutter the house, have long relaxing baths, go for walks and to step class. This diet changes your life in so many more ways than just from the food/being slim aspect.
