  • I will be giving the brussels a miss - like eating sweaty socks!

  • lol CNQ, i did aswell in the end!!

I had a small peice of chicken (1/2 the allowance) grilled on the good old George Foreman and also 1/2 of the cottage cheese allowance, and 3 small lettuce leaves and it was yum.

What did everyone else have for those who are not on SS?

I am starting the 790 plan next week. But for now I am sipping my mushroom soup!

OH has not bought me chocolates this year for valentines day. If he had I would have felt really guilty saying I couldnt eat them. Thank goodness he has some sense!

Hope everyone else had a lovely valentines day xx

I wanted some advice. I am thinking of going on this diet and just called one of the councilors up who told me with was £30 for initial appointment and £40 odd weekly supplements.

I’m just not sure if this best one for me I thin it’s mainly all the money i will have to commit to :(
My situation is that I am in last semester of Uni, and male weighting roughly 115kg 5foot 5. I recon I need to loose around 25 kg initially and bit more where possible.
I don’t have enough time to spend at gym and I wont stick I’ve tried it before. As mentioned previously I am strict vegie for past 3 odd years.
Any advice would be great. Thanks!
  • Hi,

    Whereabouts are you?

I would suggest you ring around a few counsellors not many charge an initial fee.

If you stick to powder based diet it should cost you around £46.20 per week if you do Sole Source which is packets only. Men and women 5'8" and over have to have 4 packs if not having food.

If you follow the 790/810 plan it would cost you £34.65 and you have 3 packs plus a little food. The programme will be explained more fully by your counsellor.

PM find out if the £30 is a registration fee or a deposit? I charge my customers a £5 deposit to cover missed appointments.

Also if you are planning on SSing it will be around £48 per week.
I know before I first went on the diet I added up all the food, drink, take outs, snack's etc & for me it worked out cheaper to be on the diet.

You have to remember it will not take oyu long to lose your weight & when you return to conventional eating you will be eating less quantities & less processed (sorry I don't know you but generally that is what I find) & therefore your food bill will decrease.

    Good luck

sorry Linda we crossed posts. The discrepancy in our values is because CD prices vary depending upon which products you get. Some CDC's charge for each product you have & others average it out & take a fixed weekly fee!

  • Hi Nicky lovely to see you here.

Yes there is a RRP for the diet powders 1.65, ready mades 1.85 and bars 1.90, however CDC's can charge differently if they so wish.

There are quite a few counsellors in your area Diane and Andy are near Archway and they are great counsellors and I would recommend them. Have you looked at the website?

    Hi everyone,

Firstly, C&Q sorry to hear about your burglary, hope nothing irreplaceable has gone & that you can sort out your insurance swiftly & wow you are going great guns, I see 8 stones lost in your not too distant future, well done!

I am going really well *touch wood* & I have lost 6lbs this week which is the best Valentine present I could have, though my OH did buy me some beautiful flowers. I have now lost 2 stone 2lbs in 6 weeks & I am really pleased with my progress. CD is the best decision I have made in a very long time so best of luck to anyone starting out. It's grrrrreat!
