I will post the message that Kerensa posted on the Cambridge Forum on this subject
With regards to the Quorn debate, it should only be plain quorn - chicken pieces or 'mince'.
If once in a while someone finds they can experiment slightly with the other quorn products without it knocking them out of Ketosis then that is fine - for that dieter.
As you know everyones diet journey is different but we would never recommend 6 quorn sausages or 4 quorn burgers in one sitting.
Regards, Kerensa

First paragraph is what has always been the case plain quorn.
Second para is as I said, can experiment with caution occasionally, it but is dieter specific not a general go ahead.
And as was the case on the Pink forum some dieters were eating 6 sausages or 4 quorn burgers which was incorrect.
If you follow the plans correctly you will get the best results.
I know Ann you have been using quorn but that does not mean others will be as successful and this could jeopardise their weightloss, cause water retention and hunger, leading to stopping altogether.
CDC's do not recommend you use quorn products other than the plain ones as a general rule. Specific cases are taken on their merit in discussion with their CDC to ensure the correct plan suits.CWC to Maintainer of the Year 09CWC to Slimmer of the Year Semi-Finalist 09CWC to Inspiration Winner Slimmer of the Year 08Sponsor of the Year 07CWC 23 yrs - CCCC Member0 -
If I have the sausages I only have them maybe once a week.
I would never advocate folks having them every day
Have had a passion for the Quorn Chicken Fillets for the last few weeks!

lol i could in two sittings, if it were six we could have i would have had 3 at lunch and 3 at tea time!
But hey ho im now sitting here gutted as just got in from taking the kiddies to advenureland and nipped into Tesco on my way home to pick up yes you name it 2 packs of Quorn Sausages!! lol, so they will have to go into the freezer now....damn, was really looking forward to them aswell, luckily i picked up some LF cottage cheese, so may have that or a bit of chicken.
Can you actually split the portions, say have half the chicken allowance and half the cottage cheese, so you care having a bit of both but in smaller quantities at meal times?
Feeling really good so far day 2 has been a doddle, have just had my second shake and its 3.45, had my brekkie one at 8am usually i would have needed something well before now, so something must be working eh! Planning to have my meal by 5pm as im sure that helps with losing weight rather than the food sitting in your belly if you eat just b4 going to bed.
Also i will then have a shake around 8pm and at around 10pm i will have my 1/2 pint skimmed milk allowance warmed up for a hot milk before bed, which is nice as i have been having my coffees black which i didnt used to do but to be honest i cant really taste much difference!
Another question for you all, as im on the 790 plan will i go into ketosis or do you only go into ketosis on the SS programme? And if i do go into ketosis how long on average does it take to get into ketosis on the 790 plan?
CNQ sorry to hear that you have experienced a burglary, how awful for you, hope you are ok.
Im still trying to catch up with this thread, im on page 36 so wont be long til i get to the end lol.

There were a few having six sausages! But no more like a lot of things the sausages became a bit of an urban myth but its all sorted now.
It is best to keep as plain as possible for the quickest most comfortable way to lose your weight. Why experience hunger if there is no need.
With the 790 programme you can split your protein options have half chiken for lunch and half fish for evening etc. The canned tuna is a huge amount 260g but ensure in is in spring water not brine.
If you do not use your milk and substitute with 150g of plain low fat yoghourt you could mix with half your tuna with this and a little mint and cucumer and celery tiny amounts to make a crunchy bowlful then have the half chicken allowance in the evening with a little green something or other, no peas, beans or green peppers. Stick to foods in booklet. This booklet has been revamped and will be available next week your CDC should either give you a typed sheet of changes to put with your book or a new book that will be up to individual CDC.
Ensure you milk is skimmed not semi skimmed it will make a difference.
You should go into ketosis by day 4 or 5 as long as you do not have anything at all outside of the programme and weigh your portions.
